He looks like he was actually enjoying himself for a moment.

In all honesty shit talking Trump then inviting Spicer to the stage is a natural 1 2 punch, in basics they committed press suicide doing this.

Haha you're right, Tudd. This year's president and Emmys are both their lowest-rated in history. That is funny.
On topic, it's been looking for a while like our boy Spice Cabinet isn't too happy with his former master.
The anti-trump jokes got tiresome real quickly, no wonder why the Emmys got low ratings.

The ratings for the Emmys have been sliding for years, even under the Obama administration.

The only awards show people seem to care about at this point is the Oscars; makes sense given most traditional TV is getting less and less popular.

All the award shows have been getting record lows. Maybe people are finally realizing they aren't worth watching.

I mean who cares about the shows, all everyone cares are who won what.

The results like in academy determine if I should pick that movie up for bluray
I don't think Trump jokes can get old when there's literally infinite material to derive from Dolt 45. As long as that idiot continues to exist and shit up our country, there will be more to say.
There's a significant outrage over this, people furious that Spicer is being "normalized" after his role in the Trump administration. Zach Braff called him an evil opportunistic liar, for instance.
Correct me if I'm wrong but my basic understanding from what I've picked up is that he was more of an accessory to it, serving as a mouthpiece that didn't feel like losing his job more than he was actively plotting and trying to manipulate?
Usually there's some kind of in-depth breakdown of why people like this aren't actually worthy of your sympathy, so I'm kind of expecting that.

Here's a long interview with him from Jimmy Kimmel

He doesn't need an explanation. Anyone paying a little attention to the news over the past few months knows why Spicer still getting attention is getting people's panties in a twist.
Or do we need to be reminded that this pillock said Hitler never used chemical weapons and called concentration camps 'Holocaust centers'?

He lied to the public and acted as a puppet for this tragedy of an administration, turning around and laughing about it like its a big joke while cashing cheques for his TV appearances is disgusting and a huge slap in the face, he should be hanging his head in shame

I mean yeah that definitely happened and I was awestruck by his inexplicable ability to dig himself deeper and deeper, but all I'm saying is that the impression I got was that he was more of a symptom of the problem and not as much believing in everything he said as much as he was trying and failing to play damage control for the single worst person on the planet to be damage control for.
He's basically the face of Trump's war on the media and he went along with it and should certainly be held accountable for that but nothing I saw him do then or since has really communicated to me that he earnestly believed all the bordering-on-surrealist shit he tried to say, and I don't think I know enough about the goings-on in the White House to know for certain why he didn't just quit from the start.
As I said I could just be completely off. I don't think he did literally nothing wrong, but I don't really get the impression that he's such an irredeemably bad person that he can't have a joke at his own expense, although he's still very hesitant to say anything bad about the administration outside of comedic implications about his job sucking ass, he never says anything directly; and it is kind of weird that he's probably getting paid well for this. Colbert didn't seem to have a problem with it, at least.
