Isn't this exactly what he's talking about?
He acknowledges this in the video. He even says he makes contradictory titles all the time because that's always been part of his shtick.
Most people on the internet are dumb kids\teens. And kids typically watch and enjoy stupid shit. This leads to people, like pewdiepie and keemstar, making videos to cater to said kids.
Point is. YouTube's always been shit. And it will always be shit. Not because of drama or some other shit like that. It's because the majority of people in our modern and global society are dumb. It's the same reason why people vote for Trump. This is not a Youtube problem. This is not a cultural problem. It's just that most humans are dumb.
So... I hate to say it but major entertainer being accused of rape and substance abuse, and then a bunch of other major entertainers chiming in on the topic of how an entertainment medium is dealing with said accusation is not 'drama' it's news. If a major Hollywood actor was accused of rape and then some other actors talked about how Hollywood wasn't dealing with it properly it'd be news, it'd be a big deal. It's not different with YouTube, hell Pewds and Markiplier have larger followings than most Hollywood actors.
He acknowledges this in the video. He even says he makes contradictory titles all the time because that's always been part of his shtick.
Its not just the title though. Almost every point he brings up in the video is a contradiction because he's doing it himself in this video.
I've seen more videos of people like this guy trying to sound dismissive and superior to "drama" than of actual arguments. By shitting on everyone arguing you're not being better than them, you're just getting involved and actually adding to the it.
Man, I gotta say, I think this is one of the weakest videos he's done yet
Uh he's kinda being silly because Keemstar really is cancer and he NEEDS more people to expose him for the cunt he is and not defend his "right" to operate.
Pewdiepie never told his retarded fans to go on Keem's youtube page and give him views neither did TB, Crit1kal or the other youtubers who have called Keem out. That's not on them, they have every right to shit on Keem and give him a terrible rep in the youtube scene. Good on those guys for actually not sucking his cock like IHE or Grade. "He sometimes does good" indeed.
Its not just the title though. Almost every point he brings up in the video is a contradiction because he's doing it himself in this video.
Not really. His problem really isn't the fact that youtube is shit or that it's changing, it's more that it's so obvious and is going to keep changing, but people are making a bigger deal out of it than it actually is.
Pretty much.
KEEMSTAR or Leafy makes a video insulting some person. The braindead fuckwits who watch those asshats then go to that person's Youtube channel and begin to flame them.
Then in turn, the other Youtubers who criticize KEEMSTAR or Leafy end up doing the same exact shit: Getting the mob to brigade the channel.
So really, it's a circle of idiocy.
[editline]23rd April 2016[/editline]
Doesn't mean I totally hate a little bit of drama.
I do enjoy a bit of GradeAUnderA's vids or H3H3's primarily because they call out on the more immoral shit. People like Leafy or KEEMSTAR go out of their way to stir up any drama to people who don't even deserve it and they are more vicious than the aforementioned GradeA and H3H3.
It depends on the type of content you're presenting because it attracts a specific audience who has a sheep-like mindset. For example, since Leafy always insults other people without any sort of substantial evidence and large amounts of vulgarity unlike GradeA and H3H3, then dumb teens with a superiority complex joins Leafy's mob. Whether Leafy likes it or not, he's the leader of that mob.
I thought Leafys fanbase was 90% sub bots and 10% actual people
I can definitely see where Alex is coming from but it's still really contradictory to what happened in the Derek Savage case, and again the whole video itself and its existence is contradictory to the "don't fucking give these people attention" point he frequently mentions.
Most of the Youtube drama has been perpetuated under the guise of trying to quell the drama. 'Not trying to start hate but' or 'Not getting involved but' is all we've been seeing. And let's not forget """reporting the news""". People piping up to say 'enough youtube drama!' is going to divert attention to the drama and thus feed it. So this is all pissing in the wind and it always will be until keemstar. is. destroyed.
PewDiePie has 43 million suuuuuuuuuubs, I always under estimate his popularity, that is an insane number
I have absolutely no idea what's going on anymore.
I never thought ethan and hila would care in the slightest about youtube drama
Its not just the title though. Almost every point he brings up in the video is a contradiction because he's doing it himself in this video.
Thus:
And before you fucking say it, I'm not a special snowflake. I'm not above any of this! I'm simply stating the facts. I'm just as bad as all these other motherfuckers.
Acknowledging you're doing it doesn't make it okay. He's actively contributing to it.
Keemstar is literal AIDs, I don't know how he still has a channel after nearly ruining Tony's life and those old videos of him literally calling people niggers.
Acknowledging you're doing it doesn't make it okay. He's actively contributing to it.
Yeah, it feels like lately he's been going "I don't care" or "Yeah I do it too but I'm self aware/that's the point/I'm doing it on purpose" to every potential criticism or any argument, so it's like every 1 minute things get a little bit too complex and then he just drops the train of thought with "I dunno I don't care internet videos are stupid" before going off on some completely unrelated tangent.

Yup. I hate every channel like this. GradeA, IHE, Leafy; they're all shit and they all profit on misery, I really hate this current drama and reaction trend on YouTube. It's so uninspired and straight up lazy to do this shit, the people behind these channels are usually cunts too.
H3H3 is the only channel like this that I personally watch and that's only because they actually make other stuff like Vape Nation & Ethan Joins A 90's Boyband.
Acknowledging you're doing it doesn't make it okay. He's actively contributing to it.
Funnily enough, IHE completely agrees with you.

Alex doesn't get randomly involved in drama, though. Every time he has gotten involved (which at this point in time has only been, to my knowledge, with daddy derek and the reactionists) is because he was dragged into it by other people.
Yup. I hate every channel like this. GradeA, IHE, Leafy; they're all shit and they all profit on misery
Outside of this video I'm pretty sure all of IHE's drama related videos were about shit happening to him personally and Grade just had a period where he called out people for being shits. It's rather hard to compare them to someone like Keemstar that goes out of his way to make drama at the expense of others.
I don't have a problem with YouTube drama when they meet most of this criteria:
- They're actually expressing real problems with YouTube (i.e. copyright claims) or a sound argument against a philosophic change in YouTube's content (i.e. reaction videos) that hurt honest content creators
- They're expressing discontent with content that hurts the YouTube community (i.e. Leafy rant)
- They're not just reminiscing a version of YouTube that does not exist while also not dreaming up a YouTube that can't exist
- They're not looking to spur drama, but instead promote progression and activism
- Things are actually being said
Most of GradeAUnderA's and h3h3's videos are that. Off the top of my head, the Leafy rant breaks the second to last rule but I think it's justified because it was creating a distinction between what h3h3 is all about and showcasing an actual case of terrible bullying. I don't think it was meant to spur drama. Overall, h3h3 and GradeAUnderA are very interesting to watch when they talk about YouTube because it explains how YouTube works as a flawed machine for art and entertainment, especially when talking about partnerships. I haven't seen an empty blabbering about YouTube from either individual.

Well that was a civil and constructive conversation between two Youtube stars on a controversial topic.
You know what they say, lead by example.
Almost every point he brings up in the video is a contradiction because he's doing it himself in this video.
Hypocrisy doesn't invalidate the argument.
I laugh whenever people say that let's plays and youtube are a serious medium to be taken seriously
I laugh whenever people say that let's plays and youtube are a serious medium to be taken seriously
Do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you have terrible opinions like that? You are in the minority. As it stands I can name people including myself who watch more YouTube than they do actual TV, and there's a lot of great shit on YouTube you can't find on TV. Just start at the entire realm of reviews that is unique and successful to YouTube.

if people make millions off of let's plays and youtube, then yes, they are serious
