Look at the last minute of this video. According to this, the best console gamers were put against mediocre pc gamers, and the console gamers got destroyed.

read that for more information:D
Not even surprising. Console games have built-in aimbots so you can actually hit stuff.
Mediocre PC gamers? Bravo Xbox gamers Bravo
Common knowledge.

Go on youtube, watch any given MW2 video, bonus points for "ZOMG LEET 823000 SPIN SNIPER NOSCOPE LULZ" its so funny how they can do it time after time on a console, call it "leet skillz" when really, sadly.
It's a built in aimbot to cater for the mainstream console players.

There is no question that the mouse and keyboard allow for better control than a controller.
In other shocking news the sun came up this morning.
Console gamers do have a handicap as you can't aim as good and as quickly with a joystick than with a mouse.
Console gamers do have a handicap as you can't aim as good and as quickly with a joystick than with a mouse.
you can't aim as quickly but it practically locks on to enemies for you soooo
Bullshit. Just plain bullshit. From what I hear of Shadowrun the only place any difference was made was in sniping.
Halo doesn't even have an aimbot. It just stabilizes your aim with moving enemies, it doesn't lock on to anything. You'll still miss if you're a poor shot. Sometimes I play with people in TF2 who decide to use gamepads to play mp with, you probably can't even tell who they are because it makes no freaking difference.
And so the PC master-nerds scoffed at the inferior console players. This is a glorious day indeed.
Remember! It's the control method, not the player. Console gamers aren't inferior, the control method is, at least when put up against the keyboard and mouse, otherwise I don't see anything wrong with using a controller.
Those "best" console players must have been not so "best" because the "best" would certainly own anybody whom the title mediocre applies to.
Chances are they didn't even exist.

Needs source or it means nothing.
I care when people blindly accept something because it strokes their egorection.

You forget the fact that the PC version of Shadowrun also had aimbot. :downs:
And no, Halo DOES have an aimbot. When the crosshairs meet the target it has a minor lock on that you can very easily notice.
Seriously BmB do you go into every thread going on a bitch-fit? Chill out.
They didn't even specify the game. Not all console games have aim-helping.
I was talking about the FPS games. And not all the console FPS games have that.

That would have put those PC players at an even greater advantage would it not? :downs:
Again, it's not an aimbot, it doesn't aim for you. It helps you aim on a moving target, which is where the analog has shortcomings, but you're not going to hit anything without actually aiming yourself. There was a post about it on B.net, it only compensates for the motion of a moving target. If you're aiming at the enemy's toes when it starts you're gong to be aiming at those toes when it ends unless you actually do something about it.
Console games have that bullshit locking on aka aimbot.
Every console FPS has it, some have it milder some stronger.
Red Dead Redemption anybody? :v:
RDR is TPS is it not?
That would have put those PC players at an even greater advantage would it not? :downs:
No, because everyone is at an equal level in the playing field.

Anything that helps adjust your aim is an aimbot. Simple.
I still want to play with my PC buddies on my xbox and vice-versa without buying 2 games
I just played Halo 3, I sucked ass at it. I am shit with controllers.
Name me an example where there is NONE aiming assistance.
I don't think Valve's games on console have aim assist.
Then again probably because their games are always built on PC first.
Stop arguing about it. MS tried, and the results were that M&K is superior to gamepads.
Now you're contradicting yourself. GJ. If all things are equal but the controls, and there's no appreceiable difference....
It doesn't aim for you. It only irons out a shortcoming of the input method. An aimbot is something that aims for you. Can't speak for other games but Halo doesn't aim for you.

Source or it didn't happen.
[editline]05:38PM[/editline]
I'm fairly certain Valve's games actually have a pretty hax aimbot. It's probably the same as the one on PC, which makes your bullets magnetic. Rather than adjusting your aim.
[editline]05:39PM[/editline]
If you've been playing HL2 since the update you've been playing with this aimbot FYI.

http://kotaku.com/5593259/rumor-microsoft-killed-plans-for-pc-vs-xbox-360-online-play
Is it a rumor? Yeah sure, but back when the 360 launched MS was touting the cross-platform gaming with Live and talking about it on every occasion. Then, after Shadowrun, it abruptly stopped. There aren't really many reasons for which it would have been stopped other than skill-difference and processing power.
I don't think Valve's games on console have aim assist.

There is aim assist.
You can see it when you aim at an enemy and strafe left & right without aiming away.
It actually 'locks on' to your enemy, if you think about it.
Which is again strange because what I heard about Shadowrun said it was pretty fairly balanced except in high precision situations like sniping. Complemented by my own experience of playing on both platforms as well as with people who use gamepads on PC. Which has no aim assist whatsoever. It's just complete bullshit. The reason people didn't play Shadowrun was because it was a shitty game, not because of any imbalance.
Halo does aim for you, alot
Nope. It only compensates for enemy motion.
