as much of a cunt as the drama alert guy is, i fucking love this just 'sit in the middle with popcorn and soft drink' thing he's got going on like he's living the fuckin life
For a second I thought Keemstar had FTL music playing in the background. this music: https://youtu.be/1lbObBisvac?list=PL1MZjfwXXeuoF5eN_I7kNtBToXYiPHO6H&t=30
Does Sky have stock in youtube or something? They could barely get him to recognize that youtube needs some sort of communication staff. Holy hell he is a kiss ass when it comes to Youtube's CEO.
YouTube is negligent. I'm sorry, but they have the judgement to identify when a video is breaching the community guidelines and take action. The fact that they haven't shown the incentive to do so is telling me another story. Even when that employee from YouTube said on the 25th that they're working on improving the system, well, what's taken/taking so long? Did they literally just sit down and wait or have they, all this time, been thinking of a way they could improve their system? Are they oblivious? I think it's time to stop treating YouTube like a lemonade stand. They're a big business and honestly they should try and think of a way to defend themselves instead of the shields (some users) defending them.
I had to stop because sky was so annoying. Sounded like a young know it all politician
how the fuck does sky even fit into the discussion anyways he made 1 uninformed video
"we're being screwed over by youtube's policy, because youtube is protecting itself! blame the government!" Okay, maybe YubTub isn't entirely bearing the burden of the guilt, but it's their policy. I mean, damn, they're the ones enforcing it (very poorly, might I add), so yes, it is their fault.
They could barely get him to recognize that youtube needs some sort of communication staff.
The key point that he isn't bringing up is that it isn't feasible for Youtube to have a communication staff. There are thousands of videos that get flagged each day. You cannot expect Google to just hire a full team of more than a hundred people to go through and individually check each video to see if it violates community guidelines. This is what MCNs are for. They only work with big youtubers and therefore on a feasible scale.
Single appeal to authority. ''See how smart and well thought out my point actually is!!''. Who would've thought an attorney would only look at the legality. However, that doesn't mean that Youtbe's system isn't rigged to favour copyright claimer. Also, where is his fake humility now? Wasn't he supposed to be bad with words and less wise than all the others that spoke about it? What a fucking arrogant asshole.
I like some of Skys videos but he needs to stop trying to debate things he can't effectively articulate He sometimes has fairly decent points but he's so terrible at arguing them
I like some of Skys videos but he needs to stop trying to debate things he can't effectively articulate He sometimes has fairly decent points but he's so terrible at arguing them
Can't effectively articulate something is different than being obstinate and not understandings a multifaceted situation. I know him as the loud gay friend of Dunkey and as the person that prefers to argue over pathos and ethos, instead of looking at the logos of an arguement. Simply put he is all fluff and no substance. Could you link me a video where he did think things true? Also, he had more than enough time to write his arguements out on paper. As seen from my picture he even talked with an attorney about it.

I think Google can hire a team or two to actually discuss things with youtubers rather than being cheapskates. This isn't something that is limited to youtube, practically every Google service suffers from them not wanting to hire people.

Periodically checking to see if videos are being falsely flagged is one thing, but taking sides in a copyright claim is as Skywilliams said, a REALLY bad idea if Youtube chooses to back the wrong horse. All it takes is one case of an employee making a bad decision and suddenly Viacom is suing Youtube again. It just isn't a realistic option for them because at the end of the day Youtube is not a charity. If you want Google to setup a communication team then something has to be in it for them.
do you even realize how much money google has like do you even realize?
That's not how business works though. It doesn't matter how much money you have, you don't spend it without a very good reason, ever.
do you even realize how much money google has like do you even realize?
So from your perspective it seems totally reasonable for Google to spend an entire department's worth of money on something that is guaranteed to do nothing but lose them money and possibly make an extremely small percentage of their userbase happy with their customer service?
Youtube already said in their response that they created a team for this, so unless they're lying, then they do have the money and reason.
It's led us to create a team dedicated to minimizing mistakes and improving the quality of our actions. And it's encouraged us to roll out some initiatives in the coming months that will help strengthen communications between creators and YouTube support.

Youtube already said in their response that they created a team for this, so unless they're lying, then they do have the money and reason.
Doesn't this response alone nulify the entire point Sky had? If it isn't Youtube's fault and their hands are tied, then how were they able to set this up? Oh wait, does that actually mean DMCA isn't some draconian law where you can steal a content maker's money and ignore them? Well colour me surprised. I haven't felt this enraged about something in a while.

Christ, shut the fuck up Sky. I skip-clicked through the video and I didn't hit a single moment where he wasn't talking.
