I want to archive this video for research purposes on why humans act like hive-minded sheep.
Because in ten to twenty years, this "awkward" topic will be as normal to talk about as alcohol is now.
Alcohol has worse ramifications than weed, and alcohol is perfectly acceptable everywhere. As a drug, I don't see the big deal. The problem I have with smokers is they think the world is their ash tray and you can't go anywhere without seeing the butts of cigs on the ground, in the sand at the beach, or walk into wal-mart without inhaling the smoke of some guy who couldn't wait to light up standing beside the entrance

well, if people stopped making smoking almost illegal everywhere and provided something else than a trash can without ashtray's on top. Then maybe people wouldn't throw their butts on the ground. I cant even count how many times i have had to flick my cigarette because a bus i need to get on arrives. I can't throw it in the trash because that shit can catch a fire. So i have to flick it. This happends all the time.

So stomp out your cigarette and throw it in the trash? No one is forcing you to smoke, you shouldn't litter just because you are afraid of missing your bus. Take an extra ten seconds, stomp the cigarette and throw it in the trashcan.

That might even explain it, but doesn't really justify anything. You're still littering.
Well birds use old cig butts for their nests, they're taking a negative and turning it into a positive. It also helps them repel parasites.
St Andrews University scientists studied nests of house sparrows and house finches that each contained, on average, about 10 used cigarette butts in Mexico City.
The number of stubbed-out cigarettes incorporated into the nests ranged from none to as many as 48. In both species, nests with larger numbers of butts were significantly less infested by mites.

If there is no trash, stomp out the hots and put it back in the pack. I do it and do my best to not fling butts everywhere, because as you can see, people hate that.
