i thought this was obvious
i thought this was obvious
The second time the game rigs a loss, it doesn't even try to cover it up.
I work at an arcade and all if not most of the games are rigged.
The second time the game rigs a loss, it doesn't even try to cover it up.
Yeah it completely skipped over the block.
The company had a whole bunch of lawsuits filed against them for this, I'm not sure what the outcomes were though.
I've actually won one of these stackers before. It took too many quarters. It is possible, just requires quite a bit of luck.
I'm going to guess that the difficulty/cheat setting is different based on where you go/what the owner sets the "difficulty" to, which is why some people get lucky with them and some don't (as the video shows). Pretty sure arcade game machines (like racing games) do this as well, like it only lets you win a certain amount of games in a row so you can't get infinite free games off one token.
These machines can actually be adjusted by the owner to give out a "win" after a set number of games. Depending on the arcade, a certain machine can give out more prizes or less. The minor prizes are almost never rigged; The higher ones usually are.
The company had a whole bunch of lawsuits filed against them for this, I'm not sure what the outcomes were though.
It would be shocking if a lawsuit regarding one of these machines actually wins.
One of these machines is how I won my ipod. But ever since I have that thought in the back of my mind I can do it again. 100s of dollars later I still can't.
If it's electronic, don't play it because it IS rigged. Period. There are some instances where it isn't, such as the Coin Pusher type of machine, but that's not really a game
The last block is on a delay, I wouldn't call that rigged. If he hit it a square early it would skip to the desired square.
I've actually won one of these stackers before. It took too many quarters. It is possible, just requires quite a bit of luck.
No, it requires enough dumbasses to put enough quarters in to trigger a payout.
No, it requires enough dumbasses to put enough quarters in to trigger a payout.
There really isn't any proof to that in the video, other than him saying so, as he did not even try.
There really isn't any proof to that in the video, other than him saying so, as he did not even try.
There are people who have read the manuals to these things and said that it is rigged by how the owner sets it.
That's funny, I've won the top prize on this exact machine on two separate occasions. [sp]granted I probably spent around $15 in change for each win but still[/sp] [sp]I'M SPECIAL[/sp]
I've never won on these things. I usually fuck up right after I get to the "Minor Prize". I'm awful at arcade games.
The last block is on a delay, I wouldn't call that rigged. If he hit it a square early it would skip to the desired square.
So you're implying that 2 spots over is the "desired square"? Great logic. Also: [citation needed] on the "skipping" part
I've only won at this once and I got a Nintendo Lite from it. Was a pretty exciting experience, even the owner was surprised.

This reminds me of the video in which a group of people figured out the ratio for a claw machine. Every nth time the claw would grab with more force to give a win assuming the person actually grabbed something.
me and my buddy camped out in front of one of these assholes for an hour and threw dozens of quarters at it eventually we managed to get to the top block and we actually saw it move the last block over one to make us lose and we were like "nope" there was an xbox 360 as the grand prize [editline]29th April 2013[/editline] god i can't stand this guy's hair
I won an ipod video off of one of these. Must've hit it when they machine was going to hit it's payout.

The only thing I ever won from a claw machine was a Dale Earnhardt beer cozy thing.
I was one away on the win ticker from winning an iphone on these fuckers. Gave up, elderly couple played straight after me and won a playstation 2, they seemed really happy so I guess it was all good
It would be shocking if a lawsuit regarding one of these machines actually wins.
no it wouldn't. what "stacker" is, is essentially a glorified slot machine. unless the manufacturer follows slot machine regulations and odds are printed on the machine for transparency, then it's in violation of certain gambling regulations. at least if i were suing the company that's the angle i would take.
