There is no way of putting this thing down on a desk without risking breaking a screen :v:
that's kinda cool i guess
Oh I get it. It's to trick people into thinking you have a tablet
I don't know why I thought of this:
And thus Apple began writing up the lawsuit against Asus.
Now people can see the porn I look at without peaking over my shoulder.
Jesus, what a scarily happy kid.
What the fuck ever happened to swivel screens?
What the fuck ever happened to swivel screens?
Probably too expensive and not very reliable, seeing as the swivel is a hell of a lot easier to break than 2 hinges.
What a perfect rich white family. So heart warming.
Sadly this product only aims for families that like to doodle on their own faces.
because its SOOOO HARD to just TURN YOUR LAPTOP AROUND
Actually a good idea, I just think its too early for the consumers though
I like this idea...but the whole mirror screen with two people watching thing is really stupid. I mean the screen will be at the wrong angle for both people. Other than that it seems really cool. I'd like to see some specs.
It is a great idea as long as battery life and price are not affected. Which they are. The thing's expensive.
It's a feature that's good to be available, but I can say that I have no interest in owning it. Glad it does exist though.
Finally I can share my porn with my family!
seems gimmicky
I think a better use of this technology would be to make a sort of tablet/netbook hybrid. Jot stuff down and do tablet things on the tablet, but you can slap that thing down and open it up if you want to get serious.
I love how they always advertise these things with children borderline abusing them. It's horrible! When I was that kids age I had a Game Gear for an electronic toy. That thing was such a beast it didn't matter how many times my brother and I fought over it it'd still be okay. Now a days technology is so slim and fragile it makes me cringe when I see a child need it.

I kind of like it, but I hate how this kind of shit substitutes innovation these days
Now people can see the porn I look at without peaking over my shoulder.
I imagine it makes watching porn across the table from someone less awkward.
Probably too expensive and not very reliable, seeing as the swivel is a hell of a lot easier to break than 2 hinges.
~5 minutes in paint: This is the dumbest laptop ever. They could've just had this sort of design if they wanted a laptop + tablet in one instead of two screens.

The problem with your design is that when in tablet mode, your keyboard is outward facing which would be a far worse design than that in the OP. Thus you are not working at Asus... Plus the advantage of this isn't that it is both a tablet and a laptop separately, but it is both at the same time. Not too many practical uses off the top of the head, besides interactions with children like in the video, or giving presentations to a group of people without hooking up to a projector/ TV. However I am sure more things will come up, and it is a good idea.
Fuck that mspaint looks horrible
Jesus, what a scarily happy kid.
Of course he is. He was born for this purpose. He is one of the "commercial" people. His sole purpose in life is to star in commercials. That's why you never see the people in commercials in real life. Because the company that breeds them then proceeds to lock them up in their cell for further training and eventually. Disposal.

I still don't see how this is better than just having a swivel a really nice, solid, sturdy swivel hinge would probably be cheaper than two fucking screens except for that really gimmicky mirror mode i guess
