It's a joke. GLaDOS even defends the player, but they obviously missed that.
I like how they talk over GLaDOS saying: "And? What exactly is wrong with being adopted?"
Right, that's it. Some call Anonymous. We need to take out a hit on that family AND the news station. If this lack of intelligence is dismissed, that void will grow and other news stories like this will happen, except worse.

It's rated E10+, and the girl is 10. If anything, it's the parent's fault for not playing through the game themselves before playing it with the child.

1:15, he said she's "Chinese and obviously doesn't look like them" in her presence. They could explain her she's not like them because she's Chinese, yet couldn't explain her she's adopted?

They're not poking fun at her for being adopted, they obviously don't know about the previous long-running fat joke throughout the game.

I'm pretty angry. At this guys age, he just can't realize that this is sarcasm. How do you walk through that many years of your life and not learn the difference between sarcasm and complete seriousness. It's a game. Didn't we learn as kids to not take games seriously?

the media is blowing this way out of proportion, and this isn't something that should have been brought to the news in the first place, but the parents do have a legitimate reason to be upset, even if they may have been too thick to notice the rest of the dialogue.

Seriously, how in the FUCK do you take a quote THAT out of context? Glados even 'reassures' the player after it, and it even plays into the story slightly. I can't believe people are this fucking stupid.
