LTT: Where has Luke been? - Call for Coders (Youtube 2, sort of?)

So this is sort of bigger than just their regular content. They're planning a video hosting website to support other creators.

Competition is a good thing but Linus Media Group has more than once proved that it's not a company of people who know what they are doing when it comes to something other than video production.
FYI Floatplane was crated post vessel shutdown and LTT has been using their pre alpha to deliver paid contend early like how vessel was used.
Vessel really could had been the youtube alternative.
I really hope they will get this off the ground with a good start.
I don't wanna be that guy but this sounds like something that would work the best as an open source project.

Literally any project started by Linus.
Here they are almost losing all of their data because Linus doesn't know anything about RAID and how to setup it properly
Here Linus makes 3 part video where he kills a bunch of motherboards because of his stupidity.
Here Linus breaks water cooling radiator by drilling through it because he couldn't mount it properly and makes a watercooled server which he planned to place above their new main storage server
There was a lot more moments like this but that's all I can remember right now.

See, the things is, any other channel would've edited out mistakes. They don't, so it seems like they fuck up more. They're genuine about it.

Mistakes?! This is not about the mistakes. This is about doing some serious stuff by yourself instead of hiring professionals to do it for you.
"I love tinkering with the computers that's why I'll build my own storage server and configure it myself incorrectly and then almost lose all of my company's data".
"You know guys.... I plan to place watercooled server above our new 1PB storage server. What could go wrong?"
Seriously, for a regular person it's all cool and funny but for the IT community some of the stuff they do is a pure cringe. And if they plan to apply the same attitude to this service... no, thank you. If I were making videos I wouldn't want to lose my main source of income just because Linus pressed the wrong button and deleted all of the data on content server.
