Oh god those death scenes make me sick...
Oh god those death scenes make me sick...
They get way worse and much more brutal
"If you put together the first letter of each chapter, you get a secret message." ...Subkrealtube? I think I'm being stupid, some one help.
"Sub Kreal Tube" There's a youtuber named "Kreal Tube".
Oh god those death scenes make me sick...
Dead Space 2 is worse. They literally advertised the game on "Your grandma will hate this game" and showing the excessively gory deaths to random grannies.
One of my favorite games of all time, easily. I was watching a developer documentary around the time the game came out, and what I thought was great was how they came to designing Isaac. Instead of having some brooding, action hero-like character as the protagonist, they wanted to take your average everyday person and just put him in a super shitty situation, and it shows ingame. The majority of his weapons are engineering tools, his armor clearly isn't made for combat, and he himself sucks at physical combat. They really wanted to make the player feel vulnerable in all situations, and I think they aced that feeling perfectly. What a fantastic game.
The first 2 games were amazing. The first one had the better atmosphere, but I still thought the second game was better overall. Easily one of my favorite games ever.
Dead Space 2 is worse. They literally advertised the game on "Your grandma will hate this game" and showing the excessively gory deaths to random grannies.
Cross my heart and hope to die... [t]https://i.imgur.com/u0KTqBQ.jpg[/t]
Dead Space is one of the few series where I legitimately tried to avoid dying not just for gameplay but for immersion, because these death scenes were one hell of a way to get you to feel for Isaac when you fuck up.

Those reaction videos they did were quite something. Looking at the playlist now, that one private video was likely this. 'It's a mind-altering demonic weapon.'
i've already unsubscribed
Don't sweat it, there's always Peng
this review definitely lacked in gachimuchi references
I counted 2 though. Open your ears.
Game wasn't really scary to me, but it gave me little adrenaline rush in some places, and I loved it. Environmental kills were nice too, and I like " strategic " dismemberment a lot.
People gave DS2 a lot of stick for being more Action-oriented, but forget that DS1 was already pretty action-packed. DS2 just had a bit more polish in its set-piece level transitions.
I like this style of review.
People gave DS2 a lot of stick for being more Action-oriented, but forget that DS1 was already pretty action-packed. Honestly it's one of the few game series out there where the sequel legitimately improved on everything its predecessor did right, and all the new things introduced were great additions too. I love DS1 too, but DS1 is a game that feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be. Both tense horror and action it accomplishes pretty well, but they do feel like separate things. DS2 is where it knew it wanted to be an action-horror game, and they went all out for making it that type of game. No more dicking around with trying to figure out what game it is, they got the horror elements to perfectly mesh with the action. Those screaming fast leaper things and those babies, and the entire string of corridors at the end with the sense of urgency monster and having to hack doors, just to name a few examples. For me, DS2 has far more memorable highlights dotting its progression than DS1. Not saying DS1 is bad, but DS2, in my opinion, is by far the best iteration in the series.
The part in DS2 where you return to the Ishimura is one of my favorite sections in a videogame, ever. You spend so much time going through those areas in DS1 but then when you return to it, the game just fucks with your expectations. It's like the negative version of nostalgia

DS1 is a great game, I should really finish my current playthrough. [twitch]RudeBadWaffleDoggo[/twitch] [twitch]HumbleYummySaladSpicyBoy[/twitch] [twitch]YawningColdbloodedGarbageBabyRage[/twitch]

Probably the most obvious perpetrator was the scene ending said third, where you get attacked by a gunship and it's just two minutes long but there's so much shit happening all at once that just makes you go "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING" and at the end, it rockets you back into the residential sector, which makes the whole setpiece look like the most elaborate teleport ever.
alright one person here was right about what the next video is going to be. won't say who though.

In order to get a transition between levels that showcase different areas of the Sprawl you get something a bit higher-budget and more action-oriented than "the Tram ride", the first big transition is actually a Tram-Ride gone to hell. I don't actually recall too many giant Set-Pieces. Tram-Ride, Church-escape-into-residential, awesome space-dive? The rest are lift/vehicle defence portions or straight-vehicle rides ala Ishimura.
alright one person here was right about what the next video is going to be. won't say who though.
i mean there's only 2 choices, system shock 2 or dead space 2.
