GoPro Hero 3 Black durability test: Rock loses, GoPro is still alive. I didn't actually mean to hit the camera, but fuck it, it's a GoPro! Still works like brand new, gotta love this camera!

For some reason I was under the impression the camera was mounted on someones head. And the rock was a lot bigger.

Haha, what made you think it was mounted to someone's head? I guess I could have thrown bigger rocks... Maybe next time

Maybe it is the thumbnail?
what is it today and videos of rocks hitting shit
From the thumbnail I thought it was a guy balancing a giant rock on his head.
gopro's are meant to take this kind of abuse
It didn't hit the lens... so what makes this special?
The fucking thumbnail made it look like this: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1303584

LOL! Oh ok, holy shit that does look like a dude balancing a huge rock, that's awesome! Well if I ever figure out how to balance a rock like that I'll definitely record it
It's known they're tough, why would you throw a rock at it? I know you didn't mean to hit it but still.

I got the extended warranty where they'll replace my camera if I destroy it, so I'm not really too worried about breaking it. It would just mean I couldn't record until I exchanged it. I've seen somebody's mount fail while going like 60 mph in their car and the camera just bounced down the road and kept recording. They came back and picked it up and it worked fine. I just wanted a slow motion view of a rock flying at the camera and I got my wish, lol.
