Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin? Sounds good to me.
ooh
Rogen in a drama
I'll bite
I'll give this one a shot. It can't be any worse than the other one.
I fucking love Fassbender and Danny Boyle so I'm fuckin' down
The last one they made, Kutcher looked the part for sure but the whole movie was pretty dire on every front. This looks that it will at least be well made, and has a much stronger cast. I just can't help but think that a film on Steve Jobs will just be a bad movie.
Is Seth Rogen, Steve Wozniak?

the worst part about that movie is Ashton Kutcher thinking he can act, just look at this shit

if i didn't know this was a serious biopic i'd say it's a weird feature length parody

it's sad really because he REALLY looked the part

Holy shit thats completely spot on.
Thats probably the only reason he was chosen to play him, sadly
I still don't get what the big deal about Steve Jobs is. All I ever hear about him is that he didn't actually do any of the technical work himself and that he was kind of a dick in person.

He was basically a really good salesman.
lol they make this sound like he was the next messiah
A movie about a guy who made a mp3 where all theyve done is just make it smaller with more shit on it. Ill pass.
Why not throw Wozniak some love. Y'know, and make it truthful.
Why are there so many movies about Steve Jobs?
Why not throw Wozniak some love. Y'know, and make it truthful.
pretty sure this one is going to be truthful about Wozniak unlike the fanfiction of a movie the Ashton kutcher movie was
lol they make this sound like he was the next messiah
But that's really how everyone felt about him in the 80s, mid 90s and early 2000.
Another one?
Gee, like the pirates of silicon valley wasn't good enough already.
Sure, it is OLD, but it's good.
I wonder if Bill Gates gets as many movies as Jobs when he's gone. Seems like an overall better person to make a biopic about.
When is the movie actually based? Shouldn't Wozniak be going grey?
I think this movie has only a very slim chance of being bad but a really high chance of being mediocre.

why have i never seen this before this is fucking hilarious
[editline]18th May 2015[/editline]
steve jobs was an overrated dickhead but i love michael fassbender
I actually kind of want to see the Ashton Kutcher Jobs after that clip. Is the whole movie like that or has it just got one or two little moments of horrible hilarity?
But as for this new one, at least it looks competently made and I don't think Danny Boyle has really done a bad movie so far.

wow, i've never seen the Jobs movie so coming from someone who didn't go through the entire movie i'd say their depiction of jobs is a righteous cunt with writing and acting like that. this steve jobs is like phil fish levels of pretension.
hope that's what they were going for, or else yikes.
I still don't get what the big deal about Steve Jobs is. All I ever hear about him is that he didn't actually do any of the technical work himself and that he was kind of a dick in person.
He was the ideas guy and businessman the PC-industry needed back then.
He emphasized how important it was to make the machines easy and pleasant to use, while many of the bigger tech companies back then found the PC market to be very niche and non-profitable, being more aimed towards the mainframe/terminal/industrial market

That whole thing is why I'm hopeful this one might be good. Fassbender doesn't really look anything like Jobs, hell he barely sounds like him if the teaser is anything to go by, which means he was probably chosen for his acting skills rather than looks alone.

the films unveiling of the ipod compared to the real thing is fucking hilarious.
Steve Jobs may have been a dick, but he was great at running Apple. He was a genius who recognized that there is an entire market of people who care more about aesthetics than performance and he catered to them, while increasing that market by convincing people that performance is for dusty, boring nerds while aesthetics are for the trendy, hip and popular.
When is the movie actually based? Shouldn't Wozniak be going grey?
The movie takes place backstage at three of the many product launches Steve Jobs did over his life, with one of them being the 1998 iMac, coupled with flashbacks.
why the fuck would you want to watch a movie about a guy who makes mediocre PC's.
