Hi All, So we had a last minute trip out to the US, managed to get to Comikaze (video later this week) and Blizzcon. A little change in pace from us but would love to hear what you think. Best, SZ
As always... Spectacular video.
As always... Spectacular video.
Thank you :) We tried to show off the level of detail a little more on this video with the close up shots. Used a 35mm cinelens which is sooooo nice! Wish we could use it more on the flycam shots.
Cosplay seems like one of those things that seems like it'd be amazing fun to do but i'll never actually man up and do it
Cosplay seems like one of those things that seems like it'd be amazing fun to do but i'll never actually man up and do it
It's a lot of money, a lot of time, a lot of space, really sweaty and uncomfortable, and a lot of fun

Better costumes than the actual Warcraft movie.
there is one thing i have never liked of those videos is the closeups on armors and their details. i can understand when you focus on general details and on stuff that has been detailed to the extreme(like that segment with the Raynor cosplay), but in other instances it does a really bad thing to the overall costume when you put the focus on places that were not meant to be seen up close. sometimes it feels like the focus on detail is too much, even more to the actual costume itself. the hydralisk at the begggining had such a short screen time it barely shows how amazing that is, or anything that wasn't W3/D3 themed.

I recently went to MCM London as Flint Lockwood and the only two things that took some kind of effort was making the label for "Spray On Shoes" and having to spike my hair with hairspray in the morning. The clothing was easy; Lab coat, black jeans, black shoes (if you can't be bothered making his sparkly sprayed on shoes) and a blue "Science Is Awesome!" shirt. It's fun to go dressed up, you feel more involved even if you didn't do some kind of super complex cosplay.
