stopped watching after the first 15 seconds, whoever he's talking about can't be worse than him
Within the first minute there has been 4 times where the audio was peaked intentionally and he's managed to discredit another youtuber for not being "a guy who actually knows something about meme culture..." jesus christ where am I
is this literally a meme snob yelling about a meme bob for 32 minutes, this is satire right?
I kinda liked it?
It looks like it is very similar with show games have become mainstream. I'm glad no one treats me like a leper any more, but the feeling of a community is gone.
''Ooh you I love games too! I play FIFA and CoD!''
And with that comes a userbase that doesn't mesh as well with the ''older'' ''true'' gamers.
what the fuck is this shit
it's like ultimate gatekeeping and butthurt towards "normies"

if you use "normie" unironically get out tbh
I'm sorry but this is completely unwatchable.
I get he's playing on some kind of self-awareness humor of how garbage the video is, but he's gone so far with it that it's looped back around to being totally self-unaware.
Ah its mr. downward spiral he used to make ytp's then he suddenly became a whiner.
And yes earrape is the only thing he knows to do.
This video is unbearably cringey. Although its a little old I'd recommend checking this video out if you're actually interested in a video explaining why memes becoming widespread is bad.

This is probably the stupidest video I've watched in a long while. Like, that's not how cultures work (which memes are a part of) and he just spruced up "normies get out" into fluffier language.
I couldn't really make it 2 minutes in. Lost it at "I'm a guy who actually knows a thing or two about meme culture..."
As for the topic at hand, if you're really upset about "normies liking muh memes" fucking deal with it. For one, memes have pretty much always existed in human culture, just not really called "memes" like they are today. Second, the more things become popular, the more they get absorbed into mainstream culture. With memes only becoming more and more prevalent thanks to sites like 4chan and Reddit, it was only a matter of time before the mainstream would catch on and join in, creating their own memes in the process.
Same applies to gaming. You can get upset all you want about how someone says "Yeah, I totally play video games! I like CoD!", but it's ultimately pointless. Just accept it and don't let it interfere with your love of games yourself.
At the end of the day, it's just text and images on the internet. No need to get upset over them.
