This is so fucking satisfying to watch. Imagine these things having two cameras side by side and controlling the thing while wearing some VR glasses. It's already immersive as fuck in 2D, imagine 3D.

I know some goggles do have head-tracking capabilities. I believe the Fatshark Dominators have that feature.
Damn, he's not scared of breaking his drone? Things are expensive.
It's all about abusing that ground effect, good stuff.

I've always wanted to get into FPV drones but there's so many different kits and parts it's a tad overwhelming.

I am getting into it myself.
If you haven't already, pick up a cheaper quad like a Hubsan H107 ($50ish) from a website like Amazon or BangGood, and consider buying Liftoff on Steam. Those tools will get you ready for the real deal so that you don't break it and waste your money as much. Not to mention it will give you the confidence to get into the hobby and to realize that it's not as complex (in a bad way) as you think.
This video may help you to organize yourself and to figure out what you'll need to be picking up and what to expect in terms of price point. To get into the hobby you'll need about $800-1200ish worth of gear; after that it seems to be smoother sailing from what I've researched. To build certain race quads it can be as cheap as $200.

I personally aim to have a racing quadcopter setup within the next 2-6 months.
