I have a computer that is waaay BEYOND the requirements for this game but whenever I play it crashes every two minutes.. No solution anywhere

This game still runs slow for me, recently got a Core i7 2600k and overclocked it to 4.7Ghz and it still slows down a lot. (using a 5850 too), it's so unreasonable.
Bad car physics always gets me.

Weird, i have a core i5 2500k running at 3.3Ghz and i can run this game on mostly all highs.
What's your GPU/ram. I assume if you're running an I7 you're completely fine on ram.

Using 8gigs of DDR3 1600Mhz and a HD5850.

Weird, maybe it's just the ati chipset as a whole as it seems most people with ati cards have more problems.

Shadows down, night reflections off, and turn down reflections.
Hell just the shadows will do it for you, they are hell of a crazy thing to render. Also do the memory fix so GTA can utilize your 8gigs, by default it caps off at 2gigs.

GTA IV runs fine for me on medium settings.
Guys quick question, can this carmageddon mod work in multiplayer freeplay? I'd love to try it out with a buddy of mine.

That's mine.. and the game crashes every two minutes. NO SOLUTION ANYWHERE. I've spent weeks trying to fix it. I've done everything.
Can't wait to beat GTA4 to install mods like this
