There is a ton of irrefutable evidence proving that CO2 is a pollutant....
Oh and for anyone else, to date there has been NO scientific community or organization that refutes the claims made by the IPCC on the relationship of CO2 as a greenhouse gas adversely effecting the Earth's climate
Dont care if nobody agrees. Climate change is bullshit
Dont care if nobody agrees. Climate change is bullshit
Nope, no matter why, the climate is changing.
Nope, no matter why, the climate is changing.
As the earth does naturally over several thousand years.
Nope, no matter why, the climate is changing.
The question is whether we are effecting it. Which I think not. I heard somewhere that 98.7% of all CO2 released is from nature. The rest is Us + Space
If global warming is so real, then why did it snow last year? really if global warming is real then there would be like fire and burning and stuff and really nothing is happening now.
As the earth does naturally over several thousand years.
I said it didn't matter why. I didn't say anything about the cause of the changes.
You simply posted bullshit and I corrected you.
If global warming is so real, then why did it snow last year? really if global warming is real then there would be like fire and burning and stuff and really nothing is happening now.
It isn't global warming. It's climate change, the climate is changing there's no doubt about it but I think our contribution is negligible.
I think you'll care about it a little more if you live on the coast.

You're an idiot. I had the chance to tour the Minneapolis International Airport and I talked to the guys who run the countless snowplows during the winter. They said in the past 30 years, the amount of work they had to do has decreased dramatically.

You people just need to have greenman branded directly into your neural cortex so that I don't have to keep posting this shit.

Normally I'd just refute this claim myself, but since greenman already did it here you go.

Based on what research, exactly?
MIT already proven that CO2 doesn't do jack shit when it comes to global warming

I heard it on Penn & Teller's Show. That's not my "defense" though.
MIT already proven that CO2 doesn't do jack shit when it comes to global warming
Oh really? So why are they also doing studies at MIT relating to how to dispose of CO2, created by industry, safely?
Carbon dioxide is one of the primary greenhouse gases contributing to global warming. Studies have shown that reducing carbon dioxide emissions or capturing and storing the emissions underground in a process called sequestration is vital to the health of our planet...
So yeah, one department of MIT may have hypothesized that CO2 does fuck all, but obviously there's some internal conflict regarding this, if they're also running projects figuring out how to dispose of CO2 safely, and their own publications call it a 'primary greenhouse gas'?
As far as I can see from experiments, CO2 warms shit... as well as personally looking at the compound: Carbon has insulating properties, Oxygen can burn. Logical conclusion, since CO2 is rife in the atmosphere, it can potentially be trapping heat, hence global climate change.
Of course, scientists are so divided about this (well, I say 'scientists' loosely, almost all of one side is politicians, media and big industry) I think I'm going to do my own experimentation before I believe either argument. Whole climate-change thing is a friggin' pantomime.
We do release a lot of CO2, but there's no evidence to suggest that it contributes to climate change. Methane is something that we DEFINITELY have increased the production of. More research needs to be done but I think we should be getting "greener" whether or not it is conducive to climate change as living sustainably is always preferential to fighting for non renewable resources.

Freaky.

hi
Holy shit, one article from a magazine!
Man, I take it back. Scientists must have been pissing their collective pants in fear of the coming ice age.
They just weren't talking about it and instead were all talking about global warming. Must be a conspiracy.

Back in 1970's time was a major magazine for news

Also for the OP:

Yet strangely not a science journal and therefor not an accurate measure of the scientists opinion at the time.
Hmm, must be part of that conspiracy.
A lot of the opposition is from people politicizing the gradual degradation of our Earth's climate system. At least in America, conservatives oppose pretty much any reform to the energy and transportation sector. To date, America hasn't ratified the Kyoto Protocol, while China already has. Disappointing. Even if you don't agree with climate change and CO2's supposed effect on it, green technology still ought to be supported for a multitude of reasons, because sooner or later the world won't have enough gas.
Thanks for the videos Mcguffin, I've been watching almost all of his videos on his YT Profile. Very interesting.

Yea i support new energy but thats about it.

Surely a great institute for getting world changing information from.
[editline]11:08PM[/editline]
Yea i support new energy but thats about it.
Maybe that's because you don't check your information before you believe it.
As the earth does naturally over several thousand years.
Hey ass hat. Several thousand of years ago the population was a fraction it is today, and they also didn't have a host of CO2 emitting technologies that we now have today.
And its not just Splungey who is using this logic. Population growth is exponential, and as the number of people grow, the number of cars grows. As evident in the lax air pollution control in industrial nations such as China, there won't be a lot of middle to lower class people with enough money to get that shiny new hybrid or what ever.

And if he pulls up the "medieval warming period" I'm going to sodomize him with a dictionary for being so stupid.
global warming
Yea i support new energy but thats about it.
Yes. BUT eventually when we discover a new energy source, or utilize our pre existing ones to greater efficiency, we will drop the use of the horribly inefficient "greenhouse gases" in use today.
Surprising enough only 25-30% of the power used in modern internal combustion engines are used to actually propel the vehicle while the rest is either heat or exhaust.
