The thing is, police officers are meant to be authority figures, they are supposed to protect people and make people feel calm.

Where I live the police is very polite, they don't swear at you but they recognize you as a human being with rights. It's also fairly difficult to become a police officer where I live, you have to be well built and able to handle stress and have a good temperament. Unlike each of the officers in this video, one who looks like he can't run for more than 50m and one that insults the man he just arrested.

I can totally understand why people are saying that american cops are the worst, because from what I hear, you can basically become an officer even though you can't run for any longer than 50m or you call the people you arrest a stupid idiot. That will make a lot of people technically unfit for the job still able to get it.

People that are around police like these in the video get used to that that's how the police work, they call you things like stupid idiot and they are generally a bit rougher but for people looking in from a country where this would never happen you can't help but feel that these cops are really bad, even though they might average cops in america.

Btw, I'm not on the guy who jumped off the cars side in this case, I'm just stating why people think american cops are bad.

Actually if you go up to a cop car here you can simply ask them to use the megaphone with your friends and beatbox and rap and do fun stuff over it. it doesn't matter, the fact that police abuse happens with such frequency is bad enough without accounting for the fact that a majority of abuse will go by unrecorded.
