[sp]the fucking guys hairline at :52[/sp]
Well, shit, they were about as subtle as a neon fucking sign :godzing:
I like it. I have no qualms with Apple or their product. However, I do take issue with those who blindly file in line for status purposes for something not as good as they had hoped. I mean, seriously. Wireless charging has been around for nearly a decade..
Are they allowed to just have the apple logo in that ad?
Watch them ditch aux next year too. Just like Google, they talk shit but will immediately follow suit.

i actually severely doubt that for Samsung, they take heavy serious pride in presenting their phones as incredibly ideal for multi tasking ease of use and multimedia. Especially media.
this is really stupid but entertaining advertising. it's like phone wrestling
Is this even legal :v:
I wonder if Apple is going to make a response.
that guys hair at :52 isn't even real. they added it digitally, it wobbles around. why did they do that

Like they've done for the past few years now? Seriously, 70% of their commercials are 'haha fuck apple buy from us' to some extent.

Because that notch out of the iPhoneX display is fucking retarded.

Thats fucking hilarious.
IIRC the X's screen is a samsung made one anyway

I guess they want to make Apple patrons look stupid.

Or that. Holy shit.
To be fair the iPhone X is the first product they've done in years that actually seems worthy of an upgrade. Too bad it's almost twice the price of a Galaxy S8.
Thats fucking hilarious.

Yeah, Apple are dependant on the Samsung Display division for the foreseeable future as they are one of the one places on Earth with the capacity for that type of screen in the quantities Apple need.
I'm sure they're trying to get away from that reliance. But it might take some time. Apple have required some help from the hardware divisions of a few different competitors throughout the iPhones history if I recall.

They only depicted it realistically (a la not showing the guy like struggling to use the screen and having bad audio which are things apple could retaliate as slanderous), and they never really even outright parodied it, just made it look weak by comparison. So from a legal standpoint there's very little if anything incriminating about it- because they aren't spreading misinformation.
I've been seeing this a lot lately, but was there some law passed that allows companies to name drop competitors in their advertisements now?

This is also why Sega was able to use the Super Nintendo in their ads, even though Sega was spreading misinformation about their console using Blast Processing

Couldn't pay a guy enough to get him to fuck his hairline up like that.
Apple’s design choice looks ugly thanks to the permanent notch at the top, but its decision to embrace it should also encourage developers to do the same and offer more unique ways to handle the display. Some have already created rough examples of content flowing around the notch, but Apple’s own developer guidelines appear to forbid it:
Don't mask or call special attention to key display features. Don't attempt to hide the device's rounded corners, sensor housing, or indicator for accessing the Home screen by placing black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Don't use visual adornments like brackets, bezels, shapes, or instructional text to call special attention to these areas either.

It would be foolish as all hell by them to poke fun at the iPhones' lack of headphone jack only to remove it from future models too.
Isn't that exactly what Google did?
I've been seeing this a lot lately, but was there some law passed that allows companies to name drop competitors in their advertisements now?
companies have been shitposting at eachother since the 90s so
people just decided to stop competiting and instead do this friendly advertising shit with a little burn every now and then
i miss aggressive 90s ads.

Apple is so over priced for what it is. I get that most people find them to be user friendly, but still if you invest the time to learn Android it becomes more useful than originally thought. Go get 'em Samsung!

:goodjob:
The white bars change to whatever color the body background is set to. For some reason on that webpage, it's set to white. But yeah, you still get bars, although mostly it'll just look like the webpage has extra padding at the sides
I guess that's a fair design choice, but I still don't fucking get why they had to put a notch there. Like those two and a half square centimeters add anything to the screen when there's a black notch there.
It's probably to try and push the screen as far as they can to the edge, for whatever reason I don't know. Scifi maybe?
I'm still rocking a OnePlus One. I might jinx myself here but the thing is a fucking tank. Best phone I've ever bought.
Isn't that exactly what Google did?
Yep! Makes me even more salty over its removal for the Pixel 2, because Google was being all cute and sarcastic poking fun at Apple's "courage" to remove it last year.
At this rate, I think the only large OEM that will probably hold onto it for the longest for their flagships before eventually dropping it is probably going to be LG. They've always been slower than most when it comes to removing features. I mean hell, they just now got around to finally getting rid of removable batteries, and everyone else already did that like 3 years ago.:v:
