Nothing we haven't heard yet, but hoooo boy
we're fucked
seeing actual nationalism like this coming from the real-life president of the united states is actually so frightening I can't put it into words
clean coal isn't clean
For every new regulation, 2 old ones must be eliminated. What the fuck.
Sounds alright except for the energy part.
For every new regulation, 2 old ones must be eliminated. What the fuck.
Ah, the Federal Yu-Gi-Oh Act
This is awesome. I am so excited
For every new regulation, 2 old ones must be eliminated. What the fuck.
It really isn't that ridiculous. It just forces drafters to start streamlining new regulations and making sure to get rid of badly manifested ones overtime. I think even France does this. Even Canada has a one-for-one.
For every new regulation, 2 old ones must be eliminated. What the fuck.
It honestly sounds like something straight out of the Gilded Age. If he actually goes through with this, he better get rid of obscure and obsolete regulations and not ones that help corporations fuck workers and smaller businesses over.
seeing actual nationalism like this coming from the real-life president of the united states is actually so frightening I can't put it into words
Except for the clean coal part and some of the logic behind bringing the jobs back, its not really unreasonable what he's saying in the video.
Yeah one for one laws are fine-ish. One for 2 is ridiculous.
Depends on if the one for two is ultimately a better version of what was eliminated tied into a package. And I am sure in alot of situations there is regulation overdraft that could benefit from this clean up.
not bad, outside of the stupid as fuck clean coal meme. the regulations one could get out of hand as well. more jobs coming out of working on shitty fossil fuels, further ruining the planet, isn't that good.
seeing actual nationalism like this coming from the real-life president of the united states is actually so frightening I can't put it into words
In terms of scary amounts of Nationalism, that video was like a 4/10.
seeing actual nationalism like this coming from the real-life president of the united states is actually so frightening I can't put it into words
Yeah, the leader of a country shouldn't prioritize that country's interests over others'.
Can't wait to see some of those "2 regulations being removed" include protections for minorities
Removing those energy restrictions is going to lead to the deaths of many.
For every new regulation, 2 old ones must be eliminated. What the fuck.
regulations being consilidated streamlined and simplified is generally good. Our legal system is bogged down in excess law. Obviously this also requires you consolidate them properly which we will see about.
regulations being consilidated streamlined and simplified is generally good. Our legal system is bogged down in excess law. Obviously this also requires you consolidate them properly which we will see about.
This is a man who believes in "clean" coal, is insistent that climate change is a Chinese hoax and cannot understand what a "blind trust" actually entails as he's put his kids in charge of his companies (that's a whole genetic link too close to be blind my guy). I don't think "consolidating regulations" is high on his list of reasons behind the decision to introduce a 1-for-2 system, lower regulations mean he and his other business besties can get away with a lot of shit and what better way to remove them than force lawmakers to remove two for every new one they want to implement.
honestly, as long as he pushes for other energy sources (wind, solar, nuclear) in addition to coal, i won't be too salty about it. the demand for those alternative sources is slowly growing as their technology improves, and soon coal/oil will be redundant (seriously wishful thinking, but it could happen sooner than later if we let it).
Okay so lets say we do massively deregulate the energy sector. Would that actually generate millions of jobs? That seems high to me but I really don't know. And yeah, mostly stuff we have heard before: Some small, decent ideas (in theory) flanked by really fucking bad ones. [editline]21st November 2016[/editline]
Trump is no angel but the amount of people who think he has the power, boldness, social capital or willingness to completely repeal the civil rights act over night is embarrassing.
Thats not what he said tho it seems like this is kind of a strawman.
LMAO, comments and ratings disabled
For the regulations, what if someone just took the restrictions and rules from two previous regulations and included those with the new regulation? You can say you are eliminating two but really didn't. Or am I too hopeful and optimistic.
Man it's such a pet peeve but I get irrationally angry when somebody pronounces says as "saes" getting rid of TPP is cool tho, clean coal is dumb
at least tpp will be gone
The name is gone, but it can easily come back under a different name with differences.
The name is gone, but it can easily come back under a different name with differences.
The trade parts of TPP will stay away if he's not bullshitting on the protectionism, but net neutrality tampering and corporate influence on government via copyright will be back. Patent reform also won't happen in the next 4-8 years. Trump doesn't use e-mail, probably not even a computer. I'd bet he only uses his iPhone. He doesn't understand the internet or net neutrality at all. And a lot of politicians also don't care and/or would be happy to pick it apart for profit. All it takes is bad FCC picks and an apathetic legislature. The EFF and crew will be very busy.
I just realized how close his eyelids look to swelling shut on themselves like he's constantly staring straight into the sun

you focus on his face, but his hands look like he's forcing someone to give him a blowjob.
