Man this looks fun.
Is this game any good? It looks great.

Haven't had this much fun in a mod in a long time.
Saw the words "Just Cause 2" and "Physics" and I knew it was gonna be gold.
I was right :v:

I'm not sure why you're getting rated dumb for a question, but to answer it: Just Cause 2 is quite possibly the greatest "sandbox" game ever. You've got 400sq miles to dick around in by blowing everything up, hijacking any vehicle type you can think of, and generally just messing around. And now it's going to have multiplayer, which is something players have been clamoring for for ages.
So basically, yeah, it's freakin' amazing.

Its really good, the campaign is quite enjoyable, but its REALLY fun just fucking around, so there is plenty to do whether you pick to fuck around or do the campaign. There's also just pain an insane amount of stuff to do to get 100% completion, in fact the "perfectionist" achievement is so hard, they give it to you at 97% completion instead of 100%
I also have a series of videos I'm doing on this mod, here is Episode 1. Keep in mind I am brand new to this game.

I'm pretty sure that's happening because the grappling hook hasn't been synced properly yet in multiplayer. So on the other guy's end, it wouldn't be reacting at all to the tether, making it seem incredibly strong as it pulls you along.

Seems like it will be quite a challenge for the devs to sync it properly.

It's a shame that it is nearly impossible to drive most cars in the game. The planes, helicopters and boats are quite well done though.

The problem is keyboard controls. While everything else is fine, they've made the critical mistake of making cars turn 100% with each keystroke. They should have made it gradual; the longer you hold the key, the larger the turn is. Instead they opt to go from 0 to 100% back to 0 each time you hit A or D.
get a wired Xbox 360 controller, problem solved
I tried connecting all this weekend with the IP:
199.30.48.195
It did not work, at all. Sadly.
That and I have no one too play with most of the time, so.. Solo'ing around is not fun :(

Yeah except for many would prefer keyboard and mouse support over game-pad support, why not focus on fixing the issue?
I'm not saying game-pads are bad I'm just saying that many would rather use a keyboard especially since it's on the PC.

That is not the correct IP, the correct IP is in the readme. Also beta was only for 24hours.
