-Stream over!- We raised a lot of money. Not the entire goal, but almost halfway. The pool is still up until October 25th so donations can still come in over time. On another note, got bumped to the top of the donation board So that's pretty neato! Thanks if you joined or contributed!
why does everyone donate to extra life and childs play, is it just because "omg videogame charity"
Because it's easy to work with and doesn't require a bunch of asking permission of a charity beforehand. You just set it up and go. And also the charity is on until October 25th so I can just leave the pool in my stream tabs until then and more money trickles in for the cause over the period of time until then. Why exactly are you biased against two charities just because they're easy to use and comfortable for a lot of people?
why does everyone donate to extra life and childs play, is it just because "omg videogame charity"
Uh, yeah, pretty much. Charity's supposed to be a good thing, remember?
why does everyone donate to extra life and childs play, is it just because "omg videogame charity"
Charity is Charity.
yeah, but you arent helping by dropping pennies in an ocean of money donate to charities that need the money to do what they do
So if a charity is easy to use and set up for lots of people so lots of people can contribute to them in large masses, it's lazy and not good. Makes perfect sense.
never said it was lazy, said you were lazy
Are you saying giving money to help Kids in Hospitals isn't enough? What do you want him to do, solve world hunger?
What games are you going to be playing?
What games are you going to be playing?
They are playing Killing Floor at the moment.
never said it was lazy, said you were lazy
By saying I'm lazy for using the service (because it's easy), you're saying everyone who uses the service is lazy, and that the service itself is lazy.
How did this thread turn to shit so fast, it's fucking charity, lets be happy that he is even supporting something.
What games are you going to be playing?
A bunch, right now it's Killing Floor, but we're doing Starbound, Sanctum 2 and Rust later on.
I like to donate to Child's play for this reason. When I was 4 I had a tumor in my kidney, for the entire time I was in the hospital I played SNES games like donkey kong country and that. Video games being there at that time in my life was blessing and kept my mind off what was going on. So cut this streamer a break it's still a good cause.
imagine if people donated money towards researching better ways to combat cancerous tumors and make the surgery less dangerous instead of giving videogames to the kids
Are you fucking serious
Welcome to facepunch where we argue about charities and the points don't matter. I'll tune in when you finish playing killing floor.
Are you going to be doing garry's mod?
Are you going to be doing garry's mod?
Maybe a little bit, but we're thinking of making it a backup in case another game doesn't work.
oh i forgot videogames are more important than medical research
can you just leave the thread if you're going to bitch that he isnt personally pursuing the cure for cancer and instead has the audacity to do a charity event for a popular charity that helps children
oh i forgot videogames are more important than medical research
Yes let's not be humane to the kids who are already in hospitals and need things to have their mind taken off the fact that they're dying. (you do realize there are multiple causes for things and donating to one cause is no less valid than donating to another, right?) Actually, don't respond. It's better that way.
oh i forgot videogames are more important than medical research
Okay now I think you're trolling.
you do it then you big meanie
no, i seriously think finding/developing cures for diseases is better than making kids play videogames when they have said diseases
Well go find a good brickwall to yell at, because he can donate to any charity he wants. I for one am happy he's donating to a charity, it's better then taking the money and buying yourself a new imac.
no, i seriously think finding/developing cures for diseases is better than making kids play videogames when they have said diseases
It's fucking charity either way. Just because he does not support your charity doesn't mean the money donated won't go out to help someone. Jesus christ.
Thanks you glorious LuaChobo, you are so much better than all of us. We bow before you.
http://www.twitch.tv/coyotemation Y'know, if you like that sort of thing.
Play a game that isn't shit.
i donate my own money to charities instead of streaming for 24 hours and maybe or maybe not getting money
Can you get over yourself?
Watching this is hard on the eyes, with all the spinning and all.
Watching this is hard on the eyes, with all the spinning and all.
I never understood why people play with the motion blur on. It's just fucking annoying.
I never understood why people play with the motion blur on. It's just fucking annoying.
Didn't even realize I had it on but now I can't unsee it. I've disabled it now.
Any chance of playing some Kerbal Space Program on-air? There's a free demo so you don't need to pay to get it on stream if you've never played it before.
