So basically it's a fairly similar case to what happened with a good chunk of Machinima partners. Good to see that cr1tikal got out of that shitty contract (though it may have been more due to Maker Studios majorly downsizing rather then cr1tikal's public callout).
From what I hear all MCNs are cancer
How the hell is an auto renewing contract legal? Especially when communication is this poor between the parties involved?

Everything nowadays seems to try to trap you in auto-renewal.

Apparently smaller ones are good but harder to get into.

So if they weren't, they would have continued to be fucking assholes? That's really shitty. At least he got out of it like he wanted? :saddowns:
More reason not to try to make a living off youtube. Apparently it's like trying to catch a train that doesn't stop at the same station twice and even if the stars align and you happen to catch it, you're still fucked.

Funny enough the only reason I myself was under Maker was because another partner dumped a few hundred people over to Maker. Without our consent too, just happened overnight.

Sort of similar but my gym's financing company that takes care of all their credit card stuff never recognized that I terminated my membership contract so they just kept billing me despite me not being a member there anymore. I ended up being 200$ dollars in debt with them and one day I got a call from one of their lawyers demanding I pay up like some loan shark. Thankfully I got it taken care of.
a lot of these companies will just take whatever contract you have with them and just run with it

I'm not sure this covers their asses at all, since it shows they were even LESS attentive and only accidentally answered his plea to be let off their shitty ride. And why drop critikal of all their creators, are there actually 500+ content creators that bring them more revenue than him, especially given his shitty contract split?
After this video I'm curious as to see how Planet Dolan and the other partnerships Cr1tz was presumably forced to make in the past and whether or not they treated him fairly.
