Hallo guys.
I compared 3 diffrent compression codecs for videos with diffrent settings.
See and look wich one is in your opinion the best one:
-VP61 > Best Quality setting (predef) -> 16,0mb

-Xvid > Best Quality setting (predef) -> 52,9mb

-Divx > unrestriceted best quality -> 17,6mb

-Divx > 1080p HD (predef) -> 47,9mb

The Test footage was recoreded with fraps out of an replay of "World in Conflict".
Look and compare yourself wich "Video-Codec" behaves best on Youtube.
Suggest a new codec you would like to have on there to :)
*Some of these are still being processed as im writing this, so you have to check in later, when they are ready*
*Divx is ready*
VP61, or the Divx unrestricted with best quality
VP61 looks better imo
XVID, looks the best. IMOO
I stopped all the videos at the exact same time. And the Xvid one looks the best. But when it comes to streaming video, 2-3x the file size only for 0.4x the quality is not worth it.
So VP61 is probably the best choice.
Xvid and Divx 1080p looked the best.

Quality > Size
i think Xvid Best Quality setting was the best setting,
if you pause the video you can see the compression easily on the dark grey streak to the left (i paused all vids at 0:53 to compare)
divx 1080p was close second for me
the two other formats i can easily see the compression compared to these

Try going somewhere around the world where everybody doesn't have a 100mbit connection and say that.
Divx 1080p were best IMO.
