Simbas dad dying honestly wasnt that sad as a kid, I was more just angry at scar.
not a movie, but The Animals of Farthing Wood was the most soulcrushing thing ever
The end of The Plague Dogs is pretty devastating. The entire movie is also up on Youtube. Recommended if you want to feel depressed.
Oodles of dead dogs.
I never read this one, but based on its back cover summary and the Wikipedia entry, it seemed rather good, and poked fun at all the dead dogs a good few times.
Why isn't Seymour even mentioned.
I recommend "watership down" If I remember right, its about a bunch of bunnies looking for a new home and it gets really violent at certain points, especially for a PG movie. Full of sad deaths too. I love these kinds of movies.
