I never read this one, but based on its back cover summary and the Wikipedia entry, it seemed rather good, and poked fun at all the dead dogs a good few times.
Why isn't Seymour even mentioned.

I recommend "watership down" If I remember right, its about a bunch of bunnies looking for a new home and it gets really violent at certain points, especially for a [U]PG[/U] movie. Full of sad deaths too. I love these kinds of movies.
