Man did I love the Descent games as a kid though.
That's a pretty old vid. They've made a bunch of progress since then:

Gotta be honest, it all looks kinda bad. The trailer is really poorly made, poor choice of footage, poor editing, the original low res, filtered font in the end has got to be a joke and the music is generic if not downright unfitting, considering the great choice of tracks the series has to offer.
Also, the protagonist ship design is just plain bad. It's simple geometry with random sci-fi assets glued to it, the footage looks laggy and the particle effects look lazy to me, considering how dirt easy it is to create great effects in ue4.
It just feels like either a bunch of placeholder material that was nowhere near the proper stage to make a trailer of or just poor material in a bad trailer. I gotta say, this video didn't really give me a lot of faith in this project

Thanks, that OP video really shattered my hopes for this to turn out any good
