Theres just something about scenes in movies like the beach storming scene that just give me the hardest hard on.
I'm really excited for this movie, should I read the book before I see it?
looks like a scene near the end of the trailer spoiled(?) the ending, because it looks exactly like one of the last scenes in the book.
Looks pretty good but I really wish it would follow the book, instead of just copying the premise and making a completely different movie.
Those exoskeleton designs alone are reason to watch it
Groundhog Day sequel.
it's going to be a "is this the real life or THIS."
There is a manga with the exact same plot. Female military celebrity, repeating death and knowing what happens on the battlefield. Gimme a sec and i'll find it.

Or Orkel can, whatever works. Thanks. Oh my god I just read up on the movie and its based on it, thought it was just major coincidence. Amazing read by the way.
Save scumming: The Movie
Looks decent, probably wait till it's out on DVD.
Looks really neat. I'm so watching this when it comes out.

anyone here that can explain the how they "relive" everytime?
Looks alright, I'm kinda tempted to go watch it when it's released. I like movies that have some sort of mystery to them. I didn't expect to hear a Glitch Mob song used in the trailer:
anyone here that can explain the how they "relive" everytime?
According to the book, the aliens, specifically the leader in a group of them, has the ability to send messages backwards to assure victory. This is in the from of sending it's own memory back in time. But this is a very limited ability; only to last 48 hours before it's previous death. Keiji Kiriya, or Tom Cruise's character, [sp]accidentally kills this leader in his first battle, thus unknowingly adopting this ability.[/sp] [editline]29th March 2014[/editline] I would seriously recommend picking up the book. It's a fantastic read, and relatively short too. [editline]29th March 2014[/editline]
Or Orkel can, whatever works. Thanks. Is this Oblivion 2?
Oh man, I really wanted to make a groundhog day joke. The concept is awesome, and I hope the movie doesn't suck!
Tom Cruise was made for sci-fi. I <3 Tom Cruise.
Chances are the movie is going to suck. It's changed so much; at this point the only reason I'm going to go see it is because it's D-Day with Exosuits.
Reminds me a bit of Source Code. That was a surprisingly good movie.
isnt this based on all you need is kill or something?
isnt this based on all you need is kill or something?
It is.
isnt this based on all you need is kill or something?
As pointed out earlier, yes.

They're not riding off the book's success or anything.
I remembered someone posted the first trailer and everyone in the thread complained.
Can't say I'm a fan of the whole gritty, exoskeleton designs. In the manga they're more like power suits. I get that most modern exoskeltens are relatively unarmoured but once we get to the point were they're used for actual combat I'm pretty sure they won't be so exposed. Now that the nitpickings done, I gotta say it looks pretty good.
