Silly putty - Extreme Edition
It's great if you're a clumsy ninja
Security guards and police officers should have this.. That whole uniform looks awesome, minus the face mask.
How can you smudge that putty with your fingers but not with an hammer?
How can you smudge that putty with your fingers but not with an hammer?
Non-newtonian fluid except putty
They seem super-powered or something. I mean, imagine wearing that in public, and getting into fights. You'd seem superhuman.
How can you smudge that putty with your fingers but not with an hammer?
When a large amount of force is applied really fast it condenses making it harder, I've also seen a a large tub of liquid be run across using the same method. Yeah it's pretty cool, flexible enough to allow for movement, but provides enough protection for some light to medium impacts. The only problem I see with this is what happens when the officer bends his knee really fast while running, for example?
That's a toy hammer/mallet thing
lace it with kevlar. indestrucable riot unit
This is awesome. I want some for goalkeeping.
I like it when he smashes his own head with a hammer whilst rob zombie is playing in the background. :buddy:
So...the reason he did not get hurt the the first hammer was because the force was directed into the table...now if he's wearing it on his body, the force will get sent into his body (unless it covers the back and sides too) Still, this is awesome (just like corn flower :v:)
I would wear it everyday!
This isn't new. Hell even Billy Mays pitched something that did the same thing
where do I pre order

I want some insoles for my shoes made of this stuff
Expensive money-wise but for what you get it seems really cheap. http://www.stuntpadding.com/shop/index.php/stuntpadding.html I must get this and jump onto my knees everywhere.
I wonder how effective that would be against something that you'd actually need protection from other than a flimsy wooden pole, like something like a baseball bat or a lead pipe or even a sledgehammer. :ohdear:
I want a thick full body suit of the stuff so I can jump off a 4 story building with it.
I want a thick full body suit of the stuff so I can jump off a 4 story building with it.
This kind of stuff has limitations you know. You'll be needing a full body cast if you attempt that.
I actually have some of this at home, it's really fun to play with. [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] Brb going to hit it with a mallet to see what happens [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] Holy shit it worked
Another company sells a hoodie with this stuff in the elbows and shoulders. Looks pretty nice really, I wish they had stuff like this for your shoes, I can't even remember how many times I've dropped some heavy shit on my foot and fucked it up.
Protective sports gear companies like SixSixOne have been making pads like this for years. See SixSixOne Evo pads.
Cool. Also the song reminded me of Twisted Metal.
You called? That's awesome. Imagine using that against a gun though.
