Digimon Adventure tri - Determination and Confession Preview Video - General

Would someone please explain to me the canon of Digimon Adventure Tri? Because from what I understand (I've seen the first chapter) season 2 is canon, but... only sort of? Hikari and Takeru both have D3s and [sp]when Gennai is shown he has his Season 2 design[/sp], but the ending of season 2 had to have been completely retconned because at the end, the barrier between the human world and digital world was completely broken and every human got their own digimon partner. Hell, for the canon to work huge amounts of season 2 and possibly even season 1 would have to be made non-canon because no one knows about the digital world despite the constant invasions in season 2 and the digital world opening up in the sky at the end of season 1. Has the canon that Digimon Season Tri is working with ever been explained?

I mentioned that. Your post doesn't really answer any of my questions, at the end of Season 2 EVERY human on earth got a Digimon partner, so the state the world is in in Digimon Adventure Tri doesn't make sense with that canon.

They legit dumped that ending. The only way they could make tri work was to trim that and add plot holes. WtW is still arguing over why the fuck they thought that was a good idea.
