ha ha iunno these guys are a little crazy but im just lookin to start a discussion haha what do you think
They're not completely wrong - Police do not get the respect they deserve. They don't get the funding they need. They don't get the training they should get. Some departments are understaffed, under-funded and as a result service is complete shit.
However, we do have civil rights issues. But it isn't just with police it is with the law and how the courts apply the laws. In some communities they do have real big issues police that are justified. Not every community is the same, not every police department has issues, not everything is cut and dry as it is made out to be.
My point being is we need to WORK on ALL ASPECTS of the issue instead of just trying to hammer down on one. There are reasons things are happening the way they are and we need to address them. Instead we're just going to blame the police 100 percent and tie their hands behind their backs to the point they can't do anything. Then when shit happens people are gonna be like how come the police didn't do anything. Police are damned if they do, and damned if they don't. The media also needs to stop with knee-jerk reactions and poor investigation work which leads to reckless accusations of racism. Not all the cases are cases of bad cops, however some of the cases were. But due to the media crying wolf people are less likely to listen to credible stories.

It's really fucking frustrating that you're a faceless forum poster and your post is more informed, thoughtful, and common sense than the shit spewed forth by talking heads on TV getting paid more money than most of us will ever earn over our lifetime.

Thank you.
I have my moments, but I can be a bit of a shit poster sometimes. I can get pretty fired up :/
I remember my parents leaving Fox on during the Baltimore riots, and Shep Smith started saying exactly what your said, which is a very complicated and complex issue, just to get shouted over by Greg Gutfield because "when I get mad I don't riot." And too many of the Black Lives Matter people don't understand either. This epidemic of a lack of common sense and critical thinking in this country I think is really dangerous.
I feel like the race issue is a distraction from the underlying class issues. Inequality, immobility and civil rights not along racial lines but class lines. The immobility issue has just assured that since the 70's civil rights push more black people have stayed poorer, so on first glance it might appear to be race related, and there are of course always individual racists and racism issues. But in the grand scheme it's not the main problem right now, nowhere close.
