When a Senator frames Luther for the murder of an innocent teenage girl, an unprecedented era of persecution is unleashed. An evangelist turned fugitive, Luther's mission brings him face-to-face with the coming storm of persecution that will threaten the entire Christian community in America.
Kind of ironic naming a protagonist who is supposed to be "the last obstacle in the way of sweeping religious reform" after Martin Luther, as in the guy who pretty much came up with the idea of religious reform.
Where's Dexter?
John Luther?

It looks kinda like The Fugitive only with an evangelist instead of a doctor
This actually looks like it could be a good movie, and from the looks of the trailer I think it's more about how a christian government (or lack of) runs the country and a politician murdering or being framed for the murder of a teen, kind of like V is for vendetta (except without V). So yeah, I think the whole christian theme is a backdrop to the movie rather than being the focus.

The kind of people who recognize Left Behind as fiction but basically think everything is going to happen exactly that way. I've had relatives with books like "What the Bible Says About the Upcoming Financial Apocalypse" and it's fucking scary that this is how a great deal of Americans think.
"it's okay to persecute other religions but DON'T PERSECUTE US"
