It's the Linkara episode. [sp]LEWD IN THE MIDDLE VERY NSFW[/sp]
[sp]I'm guessing this is why SleepyCast talked about the Green M&M?[/sp]
Wow, holy shit that is the worst comic I have ever heard of.
For a second i was worried he wouldnt bring up the [sp]nasty cock slut.[/sp]
Hey if you like weird erotic garbage that's ok no ju HOLY FUCKAAAAA
Honestly, I don't think the issue really is that Linkara was pretty avid with some kinky stuff. I think the issue is more the fact that he tried so damn hard to expunge and hide it. I feel like if he had just laughed about it and rolled with the punches, people wouldn't have given him nearly so much shit about it.

"gay dead muppet gangbang" Amazezing.
"gay dead muppet gangbang" Amazezing.
It's a sentence that gets worse and worse the more i read it.
Actually, when I think about it, the "bad content creator turned amazing critic" scenario applies to Redlettermedia as well.
Actually, when I think about it, the "bad content creator turned amazing critic" scenario applies to Redlettermedia as well.
Except they don't have their heads up their asses like some of the people over at Channel Awesome.
To be honest, this felt kind of mean-spirited to me. I get that Linkara's been painfully socially awkward and has an assortment of strange fetishes, but did we really need ten minutes just detailing the porn he likes?

It's fun watching him when he rips someone really awful apart, but after you watch some of his videos it's pretty apparent that he has the personality of an anti-degenerate LMAO pics poster, except unironically.
I just saw the Spoony video he did and it just makes me sad. I really miss his old videos. It's a damn shame he self-destructed like that.

There's an entire chunk of drama, not brought up in this video, where Linkara allegedly forced his ex-girlfriend to put a lid on her being transgender because he was afraid it'd damage his own reputation had anyone known about it. The guy who dedicated several accounts to talking about his lust for dickgirls wanted to keep it quiet that he was dating one. He's a fucking idiot.

I quickly find myself not caring about what he has to say when it becomes "HAHA THIS GUY IS A WEIRDO LOSER!".

Granted I don't know anything about this drama so for all I know he outright admitted to it on twitter, but still.

I wrote a dumb comic. Yeah? I love futa dickgirls ramming me in the ass with their rock hard dicks, so what?" and everything would have been fine

Then, THIS shit. [editline]1st July 2017[/editline]
all he had to say was "Yeah? I wrote a dumb comic. Yeah? Immediately after Rapebringer and the green eminem necrophiliac muppet gangbanging dickgirl shit he tried to build himself as a squeeky clean figure who doesnt even so much as swear in his videos, which only makes the former even more jarring.
Its especially funny because his most common and consistent (kind of to an annoyingly nitpicky extent given the nature of western comic books) is in regards to sexualized female characters.
Honestly, I'm not really sure that's a valid argument to bring up. I believe that there is a very important separation to be made when it comes to porn versus all other discourse (not really sure the best way to phrase this). In a nutshell, I feel that porn and everything related to "bedroom antics" (again, not sure how to phrase it) should be treated uniquely. For example, I know women who are very assertive about their rights as a person and abhor being objectified, condescended to, belittled, or treated without respect in their daily lives. And yet at the same time, they absolutely love bedroom play and porn with the woman / themselves being submissive, objectified, and treated like a pet. Similarly, I know men - myself included - who are very much feminists (in the classical sense of the word) and entirely for providing men and women an equally safe and respectful world to live and thrive in, while at the same enjoying bedroom play / porn with power dynamics (in either direction, with the woman being submissive or dominant) and all the objectification and such that goes with that. The kinks that someone are into should in no way affect their greater life. All of which is to say that it's perfectly sound to be opposed to sexualizing women in contexts outside of porn, while still enjoying sexualization in porn. The key is context: in porn, things are supposed to be sexualized. And obviously things are supposed to be sexualized in sex. But in all other spheres of life? In general, sexualization is not appropriate. Put another way, in porn or the bedroom, people may actively choose and want to be sexualized and objectified. But in daily life, the sexualization and objectification is generally done without their consent - and that is when they have a problem with it.
Quick note that Jim (really theres no use calling him anything else because the guy changes accounts like he does pants) didnt realize about the one account name which makes it even more ridiculous that Lewis tried at first to hide it all, "Reuisu" is actually, to my knowledge, supposed to be a hepburn romanization of his actual first name, as in how you'd pronounce it in Japanese. Its a cognitive dissonance. Now, what would be hypocritical on his end, which to be fair isnt something i remember well cause i havent seen his stuff in awhile and since he did that stuff he probably changed how he views that stuff, is iirc he's really hard on plots involving rape and characters who have rape in their background, but then you look at the stuff he kept pushing super hard in the Lightbringer comic which makes even the worst of that look quaint.

What more, that seems to be a common trait among his "worst of the worst" villains, his "super"villains, which suggests to me that he has an extremely negative opinion of rape, and so he uses his comic to set up a "rape" strawman to then attack, demonstrating how he finds rape terrible and wants to destroy the concept of it. The author of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo books did a similar thing, if I recall correctly. Don't quote me on this, but I believe that the idea for the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo came about after the author witnessed a woman being raped on the street, and was too scared of the thugs beating him up to intervene. He felt so horrible afterwards, that he devised this idea of a woman who is raped, and then gains visceral justice on her rapist and ruins the rest of his life, as a sort of fantastical hope of what that woman he failed to help could have done after he ran away. This translated into the scene of Lizbeth's caretaker raping her, and then her later recording her rape, playing it for him as she rapes him, and then tattooing "I am a rapist pig" across his full chest. It's not a glorification of rape in any sense, but an absolute and utter vilification of it. I don't know if that's what Lightbringer actually does - again, I don't have enough context for it - but from what Metokur showed in this video, it seems like that was the direction Linkara was going in the comic.

Most of the criticisms i see regarding it in the medium, and iirc the times he's criticized it, are mostly about how cheap it is. Its a shock effect thing. Like making Black Cat a rape victim accomplishes nothing but being a cheap card to try and force an emotional reaction from the reader. The Lightbringer usage, while used to clearly vilify obviously, is also absurdly cheap shock drama. Like the idea of a singer being raped on stage in front of thousands during a concert somehow and nobody notices, and public sex slave trading in the streets.
Incredible how people don't cover their tracks online. If I ever was to become famous, the only shit people could pull on me would be some politics shitposts here on facepunch if someone could ever link my account to me.

He ends up being some nutjob that thinks using money gained from selling slaves and threatening small businesses can be justified because he's spending most of that money to improve the city. It's supposed to be a criticism of the idea that morality is shades of grey. However, not only is the character complete nonsense, he actually would've been a stronger character without all the rape and slavery as the point of the character wasn't that he was the leader of a bunch or rapists and human traffickers, but rather that he was a criminal who thought he could justify his crimes. Combining the two was what made him so ridiculous.
