edit: I have no interest in ASMR, is what Cr1tikal doing in the video good quality ASMR?
Sometimes when I'm recording it's actually kind of interesting to hear the intricate details of something basic like drinking from a cup or listening to your own heart beat.
ASMR is a huge sham though. Don't get the appeal
Most ASMR channels are wow hot girl makes kissing noises 2mil views and complete money-grabs with no creativity or effort put into them.
Personally though, I can flat out what some of Ephemeral Rift's stuff like it's just an actual video because the shit he does is ridiculous.

ASMR videos tend to help me fall asleep as they cause me to feel drowsy, but it's generally the ones where people are gently making noises in them like tapping or crinkling a bag.
Roleplay ASMR though are on a different realm for me that sorta weird me out.
I actually really enjoy ASMR :saddowns:
This video helped with my understanding of ASMR. :v:

Same. It's good stuff and honestly really good for helping one unwind.
But I'm really getting tired of the influx of 'big tittied girl kissing microphone' videos.
I prefer things like this

No weird roleplay stuff, just someone quietly doing a thing. I love watching someone just use their hands and performing an action - unboxing things, cleaning something, etc. I used to love it when people showed me card tricks in high-school for this reason.
Though I love EphemeralRift's roleplays sometimes too. Especially when he goes and talks Ry'lehian.
As someone with physical sensitivity, ASMR can be helpful. But yeah, some of that shit is creepy levels of weird.

This guy is really one of the best. I also enjoy MassageASMR/Dmitri but Ephemeral has the perfect mix between normal ASMR videos and very creative ones.

That's a subjective opinion. It works for some people.
I'm not into it either because I think it's cringy as fuck but I still get the sensations people describe.

You haven't found what's tickling your head yet. ASMR is ideal for people to really relax. For somebody like me it helps to find sleep. A few years ago I required 3-4 hours to find sleep. I get it below 1 hour by relaxing through good chilling ASMR videos.
It's not just sounds, it can also be visual. Hand movements for example.
I don't get any ASMR videos of people talking, those are really distracting and kinda awkward, but videos like this

are super comfy.
I remember visiting the ASMR subreddit, and leaving as soon as I read a comment from someone describing the tingles they get from voices of the students they teach.
A comment from a single person out of a community of hundreds of thousands made you leave it? People tend to write the weirdest shit on reddit. You just gotta ignore stuff like that.
When I think ASMR I get the image of a fat neckbeard watching videos of people opening crunchy plastic packaging and shivering in pleasure
There are 3 types of ASMR. The cam girls that are aiming for lonely guys/neckbeards, the simple roleplays meant for a female demographic, and then stuff made by people like Ephemeral Rift who try to have fun with it. If you want to get into ASMR stick with Ephemeral Rift style videos.

only way I can fall asleep
If you like the sounds in Primitive Technology videos, then you like ASMR
It just comes down to sounds that tickle your brain.
I get a bit weirded out by regular ASMR videos, but my girl loves them a lot and i get why.
I love asmr
My favorite channel for unintentional ASMR is Grand Illusions. Tim sharing his giant toy collection is very personable and you can watch these for hours.

All I need is a fan for white noise to fall asleep to, never really understood ASMR
Sometimes I like to throw videos in the background that have nice nature sounds or something like an old hard drive noise. Oh, and:

While classical ASMR gets the job done, i wish there was more stuff like this.

ASMR makes me really uncomfortable because it's been heavily fetishisized, and most ASMR streamers are just girls who are trying to get their viewers off or some shit.
It's really weird.
ASMR creeped me out before I even knew what it was. Like, I always found those commercials where a drink is opened and poured into a glass in absolute silence as the pitch rises and the ice clinks together vaguely unsettling, like someone somewhere was liking it a little too much.
This channel isn't ASMR per se but I've read some people getting kicks out of it.

At least it'll be a mouth-watering experience even if you can't get a boner.
When it comes to ASMR, this shit's my jam
