Underwater gameplay?
Crap, I fucked up the title.
To be honest, I can't imagine Anno working in a future scenario. Although, I am open to it and I will definitely try it out!
Rapid growth or harmony with nature?
Who the fuck would pick harmony with nature?

I'm guessing harmony has some long term positive effect while rapid growth focus more on early game expansion.
Someone explain what this game is about?
is it an rts or what

The Anno series is a city building RTS. It's a pretty well established series, but I'm skeptical about this one. Seems pretty different.
It's an RTS that mainly focuses on town/city building
It's a pretty fun series
sim city?
It's sort of like that, but it focuses more on something like a town than a large city
The reason this trailer doesn't explain much is because this is the 5th or so game in the series, so they already have a pretty large fan base that know what to expect.
Awesome, had tons of fun playing Anno 1404 multiplayer with a bunch of friends.
Have an ongoing Anno 1404 game with a friend, It's fucking awesome.
This looks suprisingly good.

Exactly what I thought. Fuck the tree huggers, Tycoons all the way.

Shitting up the environment too much has negative effects. Tycoons shit up the environment a lot more but also get a lot more out of the buildings (I think I read that a single Tycoon power plant produces as much as 50 hippie ones), also when you shit everything up your city will start to look like a WH40k industrial world (all dirty, brown and grey, smog and so on).
That said both factions can keep a very clean and idyllic look to their cities, just that as Tycoons it will be a lot harder.

It's a bit of a mix between Patrician and Sim City. You build your city, trade and wage war with other players and so on.
Very economy focused, military definitely takes a second place to economy and resource management (which I find awesome).
