The "punch" was unexpected and made me laugh. I didn't play this game but I really enjoyed watching S'Arais try to shill this game.
I can't get over how just fucking boring the game was. All this money and you just ran in circles, over and over again. Also, you don't fucking advertise a game as an E-Sport holy fuck how do devs not get this

This game is a big lesson to publishers about what not to do but honestly, I don't think any of them learned shit considering how consumers let publishers get away with $60+$50 season pass. If battlefront taught dice and EA anything, it's that they can keep pulling this shit and customers will bend over and take it gladly; you can't rape the willing.
i'm probably gonna get flak for this, but: [sp]i'm saddened by evolves death[/sp]
So am I. But I have a bias, as I fondly like asymmetric multiplayer games. Evolve's problems were many, but the one that really screwed it over from the start was releasing as a full priced game with season passes. If it was F2P from the start it'd have been much more... bearable? Plus they would have probably been able to iterate quicker on the game, maybe fix the whole "just running around in circles" problems people had. My one good moment in the game at retail launch was literally blending in with the rocks as the monster, while the enemy team just walked right past me.
I think half of the people who remember this game only do because of the Wraith porn.
I got my fill of the game during closed alpha, and tried to tell people it wasn't worth it, that there just wasn't anything to it. Its rapid death wasn't a surprise.
The hype was like no man's sky's Very unneeded and uncalled for, for something nobody knew about until release.
The hype wasn't nms levels of hype But yeah everyone played the beta and realized it wasn't fun lol
