While very fascinating, I would never buy processed/pre-cooked bacon. Still looks delicious though :v:

Its not too hard to do at home.
Obtain and trim the pork belly.
Using of mix of Salt and pink salt (A tsp. or two is plenty), rub the belly completely with the mix and wrap well in plastic wrap.
Refrigerate from 2-4 days depending on size. At the end of the curing period, drain off any liquid and rub salt off.
Smoke the belly for about 45 minutes or so, two hotel pans with a rack work for this but they will forever smell like smoke. Low temp grills with a smoke function works too.
And bam, bacon.

I think the real disgusting part of meat products is obtaining the meat. The way they turn into stuff like bacon is much less disturbing.

I like microwave bacon because its crunchy and not oily like pan bacon, but I don't like precooked stuff. This looks okay though but liquid smoke seems shitty.
