I came in expecting the guy to flush it down a hooked up toilet, and was scared.
I am relieved now.
Pretty neat video
Looked really cool when he flushed the tank of mercury
kinda makes you glad water is not an opaque substance...
isn't it a terrible idea to stick your hand in mercury the way he did?
isn't it a terrible idea to stick your hand in mercury the way he did?
Apparently only if there was an opening in the skin to where it would diffuse into the blood. I think supposedly a bigger risk is mercury vapor inhalation.
Not that I'd be offering to stick my hand in there, but Cody seems immensely knowledgeable over the years I've watched him.
But if anyone else has more information, feel free to jump in.
isn't it a terrible idea to stick your hand in mercury the way he did?
Maybe. From Wikiped:
Mercury and many of its chemical compounds, especially organomercury compounds, can also be readily absorbed through direct contact with bare, or in some cases (such as methylmercury) insufficiently protected, skin. Mercury and its compounds are commonly used in chemical laboratories, hospitals, dental clinics, and facilities involved in the production of items such as fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, and explosives.[15]
Same page says
Quicksilver (liquid metallic mercury) is poorly absorbed by ingestion and skin contact. Its vapor is the most hazardous form
It felt like i was watching CGI. How does one get access to that much mercury?
Holy shit he just casually used an ounce of gold like that lol.
isn't it a terrible idea to stick your hand in mercury the way he did?
Na, he'd only be in danger if he kept his hand in long enough for it to soak in, or as he said if he had any open cuts, Liquid Mercury is pretty much about as safe as lead would be in it's metalic form.
How to flush a T-1000 down your toilet.

Watch his other vids. Hes got shit tonne of gold and even a mine
What is that other plunger? Looks like a butt plug for toilets.
Holy shit he just casually used an ounce of gold like that lol.
$1323.10 USD is today's price of gold, the past 3 months varying from ~1370 to 1310
he lost 23 bucks to the mercury :v:
Did you know that you can ingest elemental mercury without many side-effects? People used to use it for constipation, since the mercury is so dense it does a good job at pushing things out.

Do it.
What is that other plunger? Looks like a butt plug for toilets.
It's actually a proper plunger. The little red/clay colored one is really for flat drains like sinks or bathtubs.
The more he says mercury the more the word seems weird.
I want to swim in the stuff!
I want to swim in the stuff!
That'd be super fun for 53 seconds!
I want to swim in the stuff!
If lead floats, I doubt you'd manage to really swim.
is this an alternate ending to terminator 2?
What am I doing with my life
Whenever I see a video involving mercury, I always imagine cleanup being a bitch

He'll be getting his money back since he can just distill the mercury.
Also made gunpowder from urine.
raw mercury is mostly fine for quick dips, it's mostly organomercury compounds that are super dangerous
Elemental mercury is nowhere near as dangerous as commonly accepted.
To put it into perspective, it used to be prescribed as a laxative. Very few people died from quite literally eating fairly sizable quantities of it.
