Is that all there is to the plot? People falling to earth? Hmm, i always complain trailers show too much, but maybe this shows too little. Anyway, i'm watching this.
Wow, that was an unnerving trailer. Going to have too see this.
this IS my nightmare

Looks cool, quite different to anything i've seen lately. Gave me chills for some reason. Pretty sure this is accurate for what would happen if some debris or a small asteroid hit the ISS.
i hate noise in space but i can also see why they do it it's kind of a catch 22 because i'd probably be annoyed if they didn't do it too
That last shot reminds me of the scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey where Poole is sent flying into space. Always creeped me out a bit with his erratic movements. (excuse me if I am mistaken, I haven't seen 2001 in a long time)
Yep there go my childhood dreams of being an astronaut
I think I shall spoil the plot, the guy and chick end up together and the one black astronaut dies, the end. =3
Oh god that audio felt so heavy
The special effects look very nice, I like the premise too!

Kerbal Space Program: The Movie. I want in.
No, the plot is that two astronauts get lost in space. See the last shot of the trailer, with one of them just drifting away.
If there is anything that hundreds of failed missions in Kerbal Space Program have taught me, it's that you don't just get "lost" in space. He would just circle earth until he runs out of oxygen. Pretty anticlimactic if you ask me. Must be more to it we don't get to see in the trailer.
This shit is scary
This is one of my fears, being trapped in space like that. Though I have absolutely no idea why because there is virtually no chance of that happening here on Earth. :v: [editline]9th May 2013[/editline] Also HOLY SHIT the first hit scared the fuck out of me. I was not expecting that at all, just a nice cinematic sequence, I was enjoying the view when BAM.
Ever since I heard about his movie, all I could think was how do you make a plot out of two astronauts drifting in space? Of course, there just has to be more to it then that so I'm excited to see it just out of pure curiosity.
Is that all there is to the plot? People falling to earth?
you've reminded me of an episode of a sitcom or other type of show (perhaps seinfeld) in which the characters went to see a movie about gravity reversing they said the movie characters built a roof over the earth [editline]9th May 2013[/editline] this movie will DEFINITELY use 3D as a gimmick
this movie will DEFINITELY use 3D as a gimmick
Nah it'll add a greater sense of depth.
Arvo Pärt'ss Spiegel Im Spiegel if anyone is wondering. Absolutely beautiful track
From a physics standpoint, they would just keep orbiting the Earth until they die. They have the same speed as the spaceship when it blew up, so they would just keep orbiting the Earth. The only way gravity would pull them back would be if they pushed against each other, sending one into the atmosphere to burn up and for the other to be sent off into space or to continue orbiting the Earth forever. Or they hit a satellite. 10/10 horror movie Edit: oh shit she isn't even attached to anyone at the end
I love the types of movies that don't have elaborate settings and are more character-based. It usually forces the emphasis onto the actors and makes the movie more emotional and heavier-hitting.
explosion pushed her away/the robot arm snapped while spinning tossing her away
unless the explosions or arm pushed her away with a velocity change of several km/s(the g-force would kill her in that short amount of time), she will still be in an orbit around earth.

I thought they were just going to imply Poole is dead with the whole Halpod thing. Then this astronaut, arms a-waving, zooms past and manages to photobomb your pictures of space.
doubt its about the astronauts themselves re-entering, but if there is - it'll have to be with external assistance (grabbing onto something with delta-v left) looks amazing from the teaser - definitely a must-see for me so far man that destruction looked so nice - one of the capsules attached to the station having its parachute blown out and shit hnnng
I bet one of them will survive thanks to a Disney miracle.
