Subtitles included. It's long but worth it.
Here's the short story:
The two guys Joko and Klaas are popular moderators in Germany and currently moderating a fun show called Circus Halligalli. They (them and their team) wondered at one point: "Hey, why don't we have a Goldene Kamera yet?" (Germany's poor attempt at the Oscars btw). So they knew what they had to do. Get some Hollywood star to Germany and miraculously win one of these awards. If you are a Hollywood star and currently in Germany, you WILL win an award there no matter what happens (that's how bad it is).
But what if that star isn't in Germany/can't come?
Easy: You fake it.
[sp]This isn't just amazing because it worked and they pranked everyone. This is amazing because they showed how rigged the whole show is, because Ryan Gosling wasn't nominated and wasn't supposed to win anything in the first place. [/sp]
The whole thing felt like a heist movie. They really deserve that award
Oh, it's the same event.

i was sweating bullets during their wait in the backstage
Amazing job. Also showcases some of the things that are wrong with these ceremonies.

"Organisers have already reportedly ordered a complete revision of security procedures following the gaffe."
Damn, that won't likely happen again.
Hahaha, that was shot and edited beautifully, what a world class prank to pull :v:
I hope Ryan Gosling (fake) was allowed to keep the award.
I think he deserves it, and that it would be one hell of a conversation piece.

I didn't see it myself, but someone commented that they still had the award a few days later in their own show.
Thats brilliant.
If you enjoyed this you'll definitely want to see this from 2 years ago.

They still have the award but the Goldene Kamera guys want it back and they want to send it to the Makers of "La La Land" because the award was for "them" :v:
This is some high level social engineering. I love it.
He looks like a fatter version of Gossling like come on that had to be a fucking tell tail sign or are german award shows that fucking stupid

They didn't see him until it was too late though.

I've been in light like that in the video (without post production blur added in), you can get a general feel of someone's face structure, there's a lot of tell tail signs in that light to go "hold on a minute, is this the real deal"
hell even doing simple shit like cross checking tabloids to see if Gossling is travelling or going a step further and contacting agencies to verify whether or not it's him or a doppelganger
My heart is beating like crazy
That was amazing, the fake Gosling looks perfect from head on. German pranks are now master level.

He was hidden most of the time, wearing the hoodie with people around him. They also said they were lucky because at some points backstage their cover could have easily been blown.
