I'm glad that this story is actually fairly good, considering it is an obvious tech demo for Unity.

I don't see how that detracts from any aspect of it? The original ADAM tech demo was really nice too.
Only nitpicks is that some of the animations are a lil bit poor.

Hey if Unity wants to fund some off the rails scifi for the sake of tech demos, I'm all for it.
I'm really loving the Adam series because its exploring something in Artificial Intelligence that I wish was more often explored.

They're fully artificial. Machine body with an implanted memory of someone.

well I think that's what the plot is going to reveal. I think there may be a chance that, while the brains inside of them are technically artificial, they do contain the original consciousness and sense of self of the person they come from, IE they literally turn people into those bots.

but in ep 2 they literally straight up say that their body was havested but their brain wasn't needed
by standard sci-fi definition isn't a robot with a human brain still a cyborg?
In Episode 2 it's mentioned that their batteries would die and starve their brains of oxygen.
