I wonder how Ross actually got all that footage.
Ross has a way with words.
I wonder how Ross actually got all that footage.
probably found a way around the login so he could get single player footage
I'm still waiting for a Battlefield 2142 community server, something like the Battlefield 2 Battlelog. [editline]14th July 2015[/editline] Oh, and BF3 already has a community project going on, so it's also (sort of) safe from this problem. I wish more games were like Battlezone, that's being updated to this day, and has an open source server code.
battleforge was pretty sick. i remember getting into it with fp
Quite sad seeing all those posts by Battleforge fans about how they won't be able to play their favorite game again.
Man I'd really like a game like this just set in the WH40K universe, dawn of war is a great rts but it had pretty mediocre army customization.
i think ross is preaching to the choir about online games that die. like, the only people who actually believe that kind of thing are the people making the game. also, he should remember that most of these games that die out, except a few rare exceptions like this, were last updated almost a decade ago when this wasn't a problem, and well, if they had a reason to die or drop support, they died before they could reach funding to actually pay another company to continue running it or privatizing it. [editline]14th July 2015[/editline] i love ross, and i love his opinions, but like, everything he is saying here is super obvious. also, he can seriously chill on the EA hate speech because litterally everyone in the world before him has said such a thing.
the last two episodes have been really salty
Looking up some more stuff, apparently there's a in-progress project on reviving battleforge. Let's hope it gets done. I can't find any sort of movement to revive the battlefield titles however, a shame since the game is good, it's just the Pay2Win that really ruined it.
It makes me kind of sad to see gameplay footage of this game. This was one of my favorites back in the day. I loved the mix of rts, rpg, cards, and co-op.

F2P games are a bitch, though.

Everyone knows its a problem, but you don't see many people worrying or discussing about it, probably because this has mostly happened (so far) to old abandoned or free games.
I wonder who does the art for the awards.
You know what was fun? Buying a full priced Madden game only for the online services to be shut down 9 months after I bought it. Never again
