The goal for the game is to find out the secret in your neighbour's basement. You can explore the whole map, including your own house and your neighbourhood. You can pick up almost any item to use. But the neighbour can too! A lot of emphasis lies in the AI of your neighbour who is supposed to study your tactics and predict what you do next. He is able to use items to further protect his house and his basement. It's kinda like Alien Isolation in your neighbour's house.
We need more horror games where the monster is just a normal human being. No powers, not a cultist or weird priest, just a normal, creepy, most likely psychotic human being.
Some additional things about the game: - The longer you play the more intelligent the AI gets - Devs haven't made a PC game so far but have 11 years of experience in mobile games but said themselves that those games lose their touch so they want to create PC games - They put a lot of work into the AI and are rather proud of it You can sign up for the alpha here: http://tinybuildgames.us7.list-manage2.com/subscribe?u=7c5ba06b8b6710be2a32d1afc&id=d744e17187
I will say, I was more scared when he started charging at the camera than most times in other horror games.
Antimuffin sounds like either a dev or an advertiser, it creeps me out.

This seems like a ton of fun. I wonder if this would work with a 1v1 versus mode as well.
This seems like a ton of fun. I wonder if this would work with a 1v1 versus mode as well.
That sounds just as much or even more fun
This seems like a ton of fun. I wonder if this would work with a 1v1 versus mode as well.
PVP would probably be way too difficult unless they found a way to balance the Neighbour player, otherwise distractions like the tomato wouldn't work
Tbh AI that learns is the biggest thing I've wanted to see the results of in games
The way I'm guessing to my knowledge would be basically a large data base of items and events that already in the game. So by certain actions, if you say break a window, it'll trigger a set of commands and events to where he places boards of furniture in front of the other windows. If the TV is turned on he'll keep it turned on the next time you enter so he'll react to you turning it off.
PVP would probably be way too difficult unless they found a way to balance the Neighbour player, otherwise distractions like the tomato wouldn't work
Could work in multiple NPCs that can stand in for the player or other neighbors, say like; 10 NPCS 10 Houses 2 Players: 1 Neighbor and 1 Hunter The one in Bold would be the house to get into, the other would the guy having to wonder what's in the house of course. So the job of the snooping player would be to act like an NPC as much as possible to throw the Hunter off and the Hunter would need to predict what the other 8 NPCs might do to assist the snooper or where you could find said snooper. Such as changing clothes or w/e
This is the game i never knew i needed in my life
it wont look like this just sayin the real game will have half of what you see here
Wish we could fight the guy off though. My biggest complaint about these first person horror games is that we usually can't fend for ourselves.

I just saw this last night, looks good.
Curious how long this will last though. I can't imagine a huge amount of hours being put in if it's just this one house.

Looks cool as fuck
it wont look like this just sayin the real game will have half of what you see here
... but the trailer didn't really show that much in the first place?
From the title I was really hoping you'd play as an actual cat. Age of Mythology always had those fun Cat and Mouse maps.
... but the trailer didn't really show that much in the first place?
Probably the hardest feature they would need to have in place for gameplay to be like in the trailer, would be the ability to predict player movement and set up events around that. If you're making a level that is literally the size of a house, a lot of time can be spent on it. If you have 1 type of AI, you can spend a lot of time on it. I'd say it's perfectly doable to have everything shown in this trailer, although, I don't blame people for being skeptical.

I hope there's a different horrible secret in the house each time you play. And make one scenario where there isn't anything down there at all so you're basically just terrorizing some poor paranoid man.
I've seen this before. The Dev's followed my tumblr, and then I uploaded a bunch of porn to it and scared them away. :v:
Reminds me of that ages old game Neighbours from Hell. I'm pretty excited for this and it's got a nice and subtle visual style.
Do you think it is a sex dungeon
there's "skeptical", then there's aggressively pessimistic/antagonistic
I agree. There's no reason to be like that from what I've seen. Everything in the trailer can be done.
Do you think it is a sex dungeon
Secret MLP sex toys.
Reminds me of that ages old game Neighbours from Hell.
Well that didn't take too long and no I disagree this is nothing like that game and that pisses me off.
