Where have you seen better?!
it was a joke.. there is nothing better.. that's why i said "i've seen better"
That are some nice looking stones.
I see you like stones, looking at your avatar.
I see you like stones, looking at your avatar.
Quite Understandable, stones are spectacularly fascinating, very nice looking stones indeed.
Those cobblestone streets look terrible. The craftsman that laid those stones should be smacked. Edit: Also, that DoF was terrible.
I bet you can't run this on 30 fps minimal if you have less than 8 cores and 4 GFX cards :v: [editline]12:43PM[/editline] DoF was terrible, indeed.
The smoke coming from the smoke stacks looks terrible also.
DoF was not terrible, they used it that way to show it off.
We've come a long way in 35 years.
DoF was not terrible, they used it that way to show off how good it is.
It was very sloppy looking. Wasn't smooth in any of its transitions.
I'm still bot seeing any improvements on grass and trees and shit.
There isn't much a difference as far as I can tell. Look at the S.T.A.L.K.ER. Call of Pripyat pictures, DX10 and DX11 side by side, I couldn't see a difference except for maybe difference shaders.
I'm still bot seeing any improvements on grass and trees and shit.
That's entirely up to the modeler.
That's entirely up to the modeler.
Either way I still see no improvements on pretty much most games lately. This video demonstrates that

^ meaning what? it's smoothed it out?
Yes, and we can use displacement mapping instead of the parallax mapping which is more resource craving. It also looks alot better. Parallax: Displacement & Tessellation:
^i really can't tell the diffrence, but i'm guessing it's just like putting AA on full right, it makes everything a bit sharper?
Look at the edge of the whole tile in the "Parallax" one
Look at the edge of the whole tile in the "Parallax" one
*looks at tile* o.o holy christ! really damn! how did i not see that?!
Okay it looks pretty fucking sexy but i still feel like it could of been achieved with DX10.
It's alright, its kind of subtle
i understand it now
What is it with devs now using DoF so heavily? When I'm playing a game I want it to look like I'm seeing with my eye, not a camera. Eyes have extremely low depth of field. Except for extreme differences (focusing on a finger two inches away from your face) we see pretty much everything in focus all at once. [editline]08:38AM[/editline] also goldeneye music anyone

When we aren't looking at things they don't magically blur, I'm touch typing but I can clearly make out my hands, they only seem to not be in focus because you aren't concentrating on it.
