No, xmas in Poland generally is much less celebration/festivity and much more religion oriented. Compared to, say, Germany at least.

Although I suppose that's changing at toddlers pace, our hardcore catholic generation is slowly fading into irrelevancy, and the next generation isn't always as indoctrinated.

back when i went to basic japanese classes there were a few old people there who were learning it in order to be able to speak to their half-japanese grandchildren as a surprise for christmas, a lot like this

they totally slowed the class down but you couldn't really blame them
