suffice to say, it did not go very well.
What does DSP have to do with any of this?
The way she's reacting
Shes being dumb about it? DSP is dumb about things too, but so are a lot of people?
Eh, I just wanted a snappy title and that came to mind
Eh, I just wanted a snappy title and that came to mind
At least you're honest.
"I'd rather go to a regular theater where people are polite" Fuck, there's nothing polite about shining a light in a dark room to everyone behind you while they're trying to focus on something.
"I'd rather go to a regular theater where people are polite" Fuck, there's nothing polite about shining a light in a dark room to everyone behind you while they're trying to focus on something.
But she had it on silent, it wasn't bothering anybody!
Is everyone who complains about something DSP now?
I remember hearing about this cinema in particular mocking somebody else too. But I can't remember what happened last time exactly.
Is everyone who complains about something DSP now?
Yes, just like how anyone who disagrees with you is a Hitler
Is everyone who complains about something DSP now?
Pretty sure it was a joke
Certainly sounds like an insufferable.
The theater (pr team) is being an incredible dick by posting that video. That just smells of "oh look we are special we don't allow texters we are not like other theaters the girl evem said it". Two things come to mind. First is that it's fake, a PR stunt. Second, if she really was just trying to find her seat I can't blame her. Whatever happened it seems like she got thrown out without warning. I don't like this video or the theater. Only teen pop stars and shia lebouf can make such edgy cringeworthy ads, a serious business should't fall so low.
As someone who barely knows reality due to my isolated retarded life, what is a DSP? Google comes up with all types of shit

Wait was that a real ad for the movie theater?
As someone who barely knows reality due to my isolated retarded life, what is a DSP? The rules are the exact same as any other theatre, they just actually put more effort into enforcing them. And that's good, because people who do this shit are inconsiderate assholes. It's fairly obvious to see where a light is directed in a dark theatre. Pointed at the ground so you can see where you're going? Totally fine, and they wouldn't have done shit about that. She had to have done something that legitimately distracted the watching experience for them to kick her out. Warnings don't do a god damn thing to discourage that.
I've seen this happen in an Alamo Drafthouse myself. Before the movie there are TONS of messages saying to not use your phone. You can't miss them. Also if you are ever in Austin and haven't been, i really recommend going to AD to see a movie. The fucking food is amazing. Went to see Jurassic World and got a pizza called the "Mission Imposipizza". It was a pizza with bacon, mac n cheese, and hot dog chunks. So good.
Stupid dick heads using that you're living in USA as an excuse to do whatever you want, I'm in the USA and thus I can text wherever I want because I'm free to do so, no you're not you stupid cunt, go fuck yourself. Honestly couldn't watch it after she said that shite, I can't stand people coming up with bullshit excuses for their unjustified anger.
I go to the Alamo all the time. They play this before the beginning of the movie as a warning to other customers. Some people complain about their strict rules, but to be honest what they ask isn't that much and is only in regards of phones and disruption. As an avid movie goer, I fucking love this place. Not to mention it's a dine in theater. Also if you ever go, I highly recommend you try their caramel malt shake. It's top notch. :ok:
I like how she says she wasn't bothering anyone by texting instead of talking and then says she was only using her phone to find her seat because the theatre was dark and then goes back to bitching about how her phone was on silent and somehow not distracting.

You at least have a general idea of where your seat is if you wanna go to the bathroom later.
she must have been coming in late
If that were the case they wouldn't have just kicked her out straight away. I work in a theatre. We get complaints like this all the time (although we very rarely throw people out) and every time they exaggerate what actually happened to make themselves look like the victim.
Regler theater.
I'm pretty sure they have a complaint card system. Which means if a card was pulled on you, you get kicked out. You can say 'i was just finding my seat' but unless one of their waiters was the one then there's no excuse because you had to bother somebody enough to complain.
Alamo Drafthouse seems like the place to be, honestly. [editline]6th August 2015[/editline]
If that were the case they wouldn't have just kicked her out straight away. I've had people come in and make up stories about what I've told them, only to tell them what actually happened. They usually shit themselves because they were too stupid to remember who they actually talked to.

One of the reasons I think its fake.
I don't get the connection between using her phone as a light to get to her seat and her texting.
I don't get the connection between using her phone as a light to get to her seat and her texting.
She was thrown out for using the phone during the film for texting. She was either lying about using it as a light (which is still pretty fucking stupid as all cinemas by law have floor lights so patrons can see where they're walking) or she did both.
