"What have we learned?"
Well, we've learned that Sony's marketing department is on drugs.
I guess any press is good press according to Sony...

To be fair, it's far funnier than the movie will be.
Man who hates Emoji movie #1 fan of movie
I mean, its accurate
[editline]21st July 2017[/editline]
bet the only people that'll ever watch this movie are the ones going to the premiere

Well I mean they can't even afford a PR team to begin with at this point.

They have a very large PR team
[t]https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/team-scientists-perplexed-14956060.jpg[/t]
its actually an elite team of marketing specialists who they got off the street and have zero prior business understanding and absolutely no marketing/PR training
that's their actual photo. Yes, they're all that confused. Not even they understand why they have gloves and a microscope.
To be honest, though, his promotion of the Emoji Movie is actually working a little bit. My younger brother and a dozen of his friends are all going to "ironically" see the Emoji Movie on opening day just because of Jacksfilms. Fortunately, I don't have to drive them.
But this- this is the greatest payoff to him hyping up the Emoji Movie that his videos could have possibly gotten.

Its kind of sad how they're making a movie that gets viewers purely out of ironic views
its not even like its going to be bad in a good way, its going to just be... bad
I guess shitposting for over half a year does pay
I think the fidget spinners prove that the marketing team is self aware
Either someone at the marketing department said:
"Remember, just because it sounds like he's trashing us doesn't mean its bad. Thats just how the kids talk about stuff they like!"
or "Fuck it, I bet if we send shit to this guy he'll talk about it"
no publicity is bad publicity.... [sp]except ghostbusters.[/sp]
I really think the marketing department just doesn't want to lose there jobs to that shitty movie.

"Our movie is trash and nothing will get us good publicity, so let's go for widespread bad ironic meme publicity instead"

I think you underestimate kids' eagerness to spend money on stupid shit
I guess this proves shitposting is indeed an art.
Enough of an art to get you invited to the world premiere for a move about emojis holy shit.
