There's actually an explanation for Ryo being in both seasons 2 and 3 in the games (Jesu-Otaku gets into it in her Tamers retrospective). Also the first two seasons being a TV show in the third is an invention of the American dub. In the original they just have card games and video games.
I get the feeling that the person who wrote this didn't do a lot of research. Cool that they got Tai's voice actor for it though.

digimon tamers is some pretty good shit though. I always hated how all the different digimon series were simply known as new seasons rather than entirely new series though (digimon tamers is just digimon season 3 in America).

When the second Digimon series finished up, I moved to an area where Fox Kids was not shown on the Fox channel, but on Sunday mornings on the WB (Yeah, apparently that can happen). I never figured this out until 2 years later, so for the longest time I thought the show (And Fox Kids) were cancelled, and never heard much from Digimon again.
A few years later I saw a R34 section of some website dedicated to all Digimon hentai. Browsing through it, there were Digimon featured I never heard of, especially this one named Renamon. After a quick Google search, I found out Digimon actually had more seasons than just the original two.
So I guess thank you Digimon Rule 34?

I honestly don't like that style at all, and I loved the style of Season 5.
The characters look so generic, especially their outfits. Digimon is known for its characters having really colorful and characterized outfits, but these look so... boring. You can't even tell who the characters are if not for their hair colors.
Its still kind of upsetting they got rid of the pink haired Mimi of season 2 of adventures
