What sort of PC? If it's a 3-sli pc then of course it's going to end up like this.
What sort of PC? If it's a 3-sli pc then of course it's going to end up like this.
Its a single GTX 680
Edit: like said above.
Didn't some guy said that the PS4 will surpass PC for a long time?
Because obliviously he was so wrong :v:
Then it's not half bad for PS4. I would guess it will cost around 680 in price.

And then some guy said it won't, guess he was wrong. There's no chance for a console to surpass PC, but it will surpass most mid-range pcs used by most mortals, that's for sure. Consoles would not compete with enthusiasts because you can't beat gaming rigs that cost a fuckton while keeping your costs low.
PS4 looks like its lagging a bit in some areas.
Remember when people cared more about gameplay than graphics?
Remember when people cared more about gameplay than graphics?
in consoles? yeah me neither
The PC looks marginally better.
The PC looks marginally better.
It looks significantly better. The PS4 version is missing global illumination, depth of field, and a number of shadows and particle.
They still have to figure out how to squeeze power out of the system though, I am not saying it will be better than PC but still.
Just compare to like one of the first ps3 games like Resistance to how good Uncharted 3 looks or God of War 3.

the PS4 is showing a newer revision - they cut out GI on all platforms
I don't know, but that didn't look much better than UE3 to me. The only big thing I noticed was the crazy particles and DoF stuff.
the PS4 is showing a newer revision - they cut out GI on all platforms
Wait what, wasn't Global Illumination supposed to be the biggest change the end-user would notice the most?
the PS4 is showing a newer revision - they cut out GI on all platforms
Well then. Looks like PC wins this round like every other.
the PS4 is showing a newer revision - they cut out GI on all platforms
What a dumb decision, their GI was actually decent unlike CryEngine 3 and a few others...
Wait what, wasn't Global Illumination supposed to be the biggest change the end-user would notice the most?
yeah
Well then. Looks like PC wins this round like every other.
no because the PC is also a platform
What a dumb decision, their GI was actually decent unlike CryEngine 3 and a few others...
it's a shame that decent GI is still unfeasible
not really Epic's fault though, it's just not possible atm
Remember when people cared more about gameplay than graphics?
is a new generation of console somehow going to improve gameplay?
no, it's all about technical progression, which means better graphics
Neither PS4 nor PC however let's you assume the role of a Lava Demon armed with a mace to fuck shit up.
Wow, the PS4 doesn't seem to be much of an upgrade from the PS3. That looks similar to some games that have already been released.

I never said anything remotely like that. But everyone here is bitching about how the ps4 has slightly worse graphics than the pc version and forgetting that none of that even matters if the game isn't fun.
wow the fps was terrible

but if the exact same game was released on two consoles (in this case ps4 and pc) how would you choose which to play? the only thing that separates them is graphics, so you might as well decide based on that
UE4 can do dirty lenses we get it now cut that shit off
They both look pretty similar to me apart from some more noticeable jaggies on the PS4, but they're both pretty decent to be honest. There were some textures (like the stalactites on the ceiling near the beginning) that I actually preffered on the PS4 version. PC looks a lot like the dodgy ice textures in Skyrim that looked like still water.
PC gamer here, so you know I'm not being biased at all, just saying what I see.
hope UT4 is a lot more like 99/2004!!!
To be fair, Console games usually get better looking as developers engines get more optimised for their hardware.
I especially noticed this on the PSP, mind you Sony overclocked the CPU speed at some point from like 222 to 333 I thinks.
Is it just me, or did the extended ending for the PS4 demo look like something from like 2004.
It looked REALLY bad.
Why do people even bother trying to compare PCs to consoles? The most advanced PC is obviously going to beat the leading console just because of the way PCs are customized and consoles are pretty static devices have huge time gaps between the different systems.
