I don't get it. e: Should probably clarify. It's put together well for sure, but I had to watch it a few times to figure out what was relevant to the story and what wasn't. Like: - The damage to the side of hat guy's car shown at 2:15. Did the other man do that? Or is it just another shot of how messed up the car is. - While breaking the window was cool, is it relevant? We already know hat guy is kind of nuts. - Does hat man suspect laughing man is having an affair with the lady I assume is hat man's wife? Or is it the parking in general that sets him off. This distracted me while watching. - (If the affair angle is completely wrong) I wondered if there was some sort of history with these two men, since going out and stalking a guy so quickly for parking a car isn't too believable. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't see any reason for the progression in hat man's actions to be as big as they are other than him just being crazy. And being crazy for the sake of crazy isn't interesting. Laughing guy didn't do anything, so there's no building of suspense. He sensible chuckle'd a few times then got his car smashed up. The film doesn't end with everyone dying like most student films I've had to judge though so I'm really happy with that. So, I enjoyed it. It's one of the better student films I've seen, I just had difficulty with some of the narrative aspects and character motivation. Also it was impossible for me to take this bit seriously. But, I will say it's without a doubt my new favorite reaction .gif.
I liked it. You got everything across that's necessary to tell a story. Anyone that doesn't get it forgets that film is a visual medium. It's good, dude, congrats. Constructive criticism: the music is a little too quiet.
I don't get it.
What is there not to get about it? I can understand if you mistook flavor shots for being something story related but for the most part its pretty easy to understand.
The bloody hand bit was done very well.
What's the song you used at the start?

To be honest, while your points are correct and im not giving you a fair answer, i wanted that to be the approach of this. Vague and little, so you could come up with the "story" by yourself, which you kind of did. Its still cheap for me to say "yeah i wanted it that way" but yeah, what can i say. My difficulty was making it both kinda creppy but kind of funny. I should have taken a little of the "horror" music bits when i wanted to say that, like the gif you are pointing, or the ending too, or the other guy in general. Thanks for the time you took to write that down, seriously, it helps a ton to recieve that kind of feedback.
Did you use a few bars from GSY!BE's F♯ A♯ ∞ at 2:40 or am i insane?
i think its some sort of Shepards tone. Cant find the original. Also, what does "GSY!BE's F♯ A♯ ∞" mean? im curious. [editline]29th July 2015[/editline] wait i just found it [editline]29th July 2015[/editline] http://www.tryingtrying.com/
It's an album by a canadian post rock band. It's pretty good, give it a listen. [editline]29th July 2015[/editline] They use the same tones in the transition between their first and second songs on the album.
