yes, or it could very well seem horrific, illogical and irresponsible to them if they put reason before emotion, unlike we tend to do. they could have advanced past the point when they used to do stuff mainly for the giggles of it

I don't think you're actually seeing the physical atom, but only the "footprint" if you will. It's basically showing where the atom is, and it's affects on the surrounded areas. See the "waves" coming off of them? Pretty neat stuff.
now i'm not very science savvy, which is why im asking this in the first place
but what happens if you manipulate atoms enough to like...destroy an object? like put a piece of wood in whatever they're using and move half the atoms out. what would happen?
